I need little help please

Tell me when you are finished making consecutive post every few minutes.

It is not possible to have turbo all the time, depending on power and size, a flashlight can typically sustain turbo for a minute.

Driver vn4 can sustain turbo for very long time this what I learned and I am sure about

Still waiting for one of you guys to tell me how to do it

Please tell me how to disable temperature sensor ? I don’t know how..

Have you even read previous post? MoreHiCRILumens told you how to do it

Yes I have read it! But I don’t understand?! A Short video will help me understand how to set it on turbo and how to disable the sensor

You may get the information you need if you contact Vinh at Skylumen.com.
He has been pretty helpful when I have contacted him.
I would love to help, but other than reading the manual, I have no info. It is interesting that I don’t see how to get to the setting you want listed in a quick scan of the manual.
His video does not cover it either
Maybe an internet search might get you something if you, for some reason, don’t want to contact Vinh. Or try the CPF site. He seems to frequent that forum quite a bit.

Picking up on MoreHiCRILumens message above

Step 1: From Off or On quickly tap the switch 10 times to enter Programming Mode. A dim slow blink will initiate.
Step 2: Tap the Deck number. A dim fast blink will initiate.
Step 3. Tap the number of mode group. A double blink & 1stmode in group will initiate.
Circuit Temperature Sensor - 10-10-F (Default 160F) - F1= Off, F2 = 105F, […]

Trying to simplify the instructions:

- If you are using a light with Forward Clicky Switch, you will have to do half clicks not pressing the switch till the end (a full click).

  • From OFF, do those 10 half clicks/taps, without ever doing a full click. When you see the “dim slow blink” you will enter step 2.

- On step 2, you will have to do again 10 half clicks / taps, without making a full click. When you see the “fast dim blink” you will enter step 3.

- On step 3, since you are choosing to disable the turbo, you will only have to do 1 half click/tap. After that, the light will make a double blink and will shut off. Now you will have your temperature sensor disabled. In case you want to define 1 value from the available ones, you need to do the number of half clicks/taps (from 1 to 12) to choose a preset temperature level from 105ºF to 200ºF.

Simplifying:
OFF >>> 10 half clicks = dim slow blink >>> 10 half clicks = fast dim blink >>> 1 half click = double blink = light shuts OFF

If you are using a flashlight with Reverse Clicky Switch, the process is similar, but instead you need to turn the light on before initiating the process, an when the lights shuts OFF, you need to make the full click to physically turn the light OFF (closing the circuit).

I hope this helps. BTW, this is based on my experience with the driver with firware guppy3drv from DrJones, sold by MTN electronics, which works in similar way to Vinh’s driver.

I made video trying to explain how to do it.

:+1:

thank you very very much you are really good friend and I am very happy to have a friend like you thank you very much for taking the time and effort for making this video to help me I will never forget it

one more question please l mentioned above that I have also l2cvn (driver vn2 forward clicky) (solarforce) carbon fiber edition with triple nichia219b and l want to set it to only 2 mods 30% and 100% with mod memory ON

and I DON’T want it to step down I want enjoy turbo for very long time and even after it start to step down

I don’t want it to be 100 Lumens or 200 Lumens .. etc it’s just not acceptable for me to carry big light like that and it puts out just 100-200ish Lumens so do you understand me ?

I’m glad the video helped in some way.

-Concerning your requests, you cannot configure your flashlight to 30–100, but you can configure it to 25% 100% with mode memory ON.

For that, you when you see the driver settings, you will notice that on Deck 1 - The Simplest you have the following option: 10-1-5 => 25/100 M

What you need to do is:

OFF >>> 10 half clicks = dim slow blink >>> 1 half click = fast dim blink >>> 5 half clicks = double blink = light shuts OFF

Then you will have the light configured with those 2 modes with memory.

Concerning the Turbo Timmer, you need to follow the instructions on the driver’s sheet:

Simplifying:

OFF >>> 10 half clicks = dim slow blink >>> 12 half clicks = fast dim blink >>> Let light run until desired felt temperature and or time. Turn off to lock in Turbo Timer

This means that to have Turbo running on Max you will need to let the flasglight making this configuration for a loooooong time. And…I suspect that:
a) the light will get extremely hot to handle and
b) it will surely start to decrease in terms of output after some time because the battery will no longer handle the maximum current you need to keep it always at 100% level. But I may be wrong.

In any case, use a fully charged battery to do this configuration.

For these 2 configurations I will not make videos since the one I posted above let you understand how the configuration works. I hope the explanations given also help.

THIS!!! Good advice! :+1:

We know that sometimes we think that those extreme configurations are the best, but…maybe we need to step back a little and make them more reasonable and long lasting!!

If you set those lights to Turbo for Extended periods, they’ll get so hot the LED or wires will Desolder or burn up—- That’s why he had them set for burst — Be Careful —- Remember Too Hot To Hold is To Hot Period

let us know if the thing melts, sets your house on fire, or blows up

:exclamation: *Sorry for the post above! :exclamation:
I made a mistake, because I didn’t notice that the driver you were referring to was the VN2.

For the mode configuration you may find some information here, from Vinh himself:

As for the driver and turbo timer configuration you can find some information here:

See the second half of the page:

Again, sorry for the mistake I made, I overlooked the type of driver you have on the solarforce.

Thank U everyone for kind words and for the very valuable advice.

But remember am pro and I will monitor the heat with my hands and I will turn it off when it’s hot
l have problem now few hours earlier I was trying to figure out the UI of the (L2Cvn with driver vn2 triple nichia219b) I managed to make 2 mods light but WHIT-OUT mod memory?! It always comes on low ..

2nd thing is turbo is definitely not turbo! It feels like half the turbo before I set it up.. so yeah.. help!

Tell me what to do please to restore the true turbo maximum brightness to my light…

It’s definitely not driver vn2!! Because I tried everything and it doesn’t respond for my rapid 8 half clicks when it’s on or off or just tap!!

It responded to the 10 clicks only!

Please check the links I posted above, in my last post.

Here’s a resume of what is on Skylumen’s driver sheet on that link:

- Forward switch: 8 quick half presses from OFF

  • Reverse switch: 8 quick half presses from ON.

When the light enters programming mode and starts flashing, tap the switch the specific number of time for the desired group.
In your case, you will need Group 4 (30 - 10 w/ Memory) so you will have to do 4 half taps when the light is flashling.

For the Turbo timer, see what I quoted in the last post:

I don’t have any light with this driver, so what I think is that you will always get a limitation on the amount of time and output that you will get when the flashlight is lit for a long period of time. At least, that’s what it seems to me, by the words quoted above.
