【TS10V2 Al available】Wurkkos "slender waist" TS10v2 aluminum version available with black, green, orange

where is copper a choice??

The brass looks awesome! And the 14500 battery is only $2 more? Must resist, must resist…

I always buy the battery with the light

I always buy the battery with the light

I do too.

One of the TS10’s came with a 14500 with built-in usb charger !
Same length as their unprotected/regular batteries.

I thought that might have been my problem with my MAO TS10, but no.

nice option!

Both my brass ts10s say local post office, so probably monday

Wurkkos, Do you know the brass composition used in this light? The brass stock you ordered for the factory.

Why do you ask?

Maybe the amount of lead content?

Curious about thermal heat dissipation

thermal info of various metals:

Brass has about 2/3 less thermal conductivity than Copper,
Brass has about 1/3 less thermal conductivity than Aluminium.

otoh, Brass has about 16 Times better thermal conductivity than Titanium. :student:

imo, buy the metal you like, dont worry about thermal conductivity… just dont use your light in ways that generate high heat… Medium modes are our friends… LOL

I recommend a ceiling of 120/150 = about 350 lumens, and turn Turbo Off, regardless what metal the TS10 is made of.

1 Thank

I’m a little curious as well, just from a general curiosity standpoint. Free-machining brass has more lead in it and these days you don’t see it very often in consumer-marketed products. Photos look like it’s just a tad roughly machined which might indicate hard brass but it could just be the operators in a rush (faster feed rates or speed, not swapping to sharp fresh tools, etc). I don’t know if RoHS compliance would apply here since it isn’t “electronics”, per se. Heat dissipation……brass of any type is never great, might be more of an issue on this particular light if you like to use it in turbo/top of ramp, but ya work with what ya got.

Thanks for the details…helps others to know sometimes. Sounds odd. Dumb question maybe since the head works on the other bodies, but threads are clean and clear, right? If you unscrew the head on your others a turn or so and press the switch, is that the same behavior you’re seeing on the MAO? And I suppose you know this already but to factory reset you need to be in advanced mode (batt check is an easy indicator…one time and stops, you’re in simple…continues the voltage readout sequence, you’re in advanced……or if you can’t change aux levels with 7 clicks, you’re in simple). With wonky electrical connection at the head sometimes it resets itself to simple mode.

I’ve just unpacked my new TS10 brass. Wow, I was really surprised by the packaging! New box with magnetic latch and the flashlight itself is vaccum-sealed! Just amazing.

is the button on the brass version also brass?

Yes, it is.

planning dark green

Threads are clean and clear.
Not same behavior.

The MAO head stays in Anduril2 when I decapitate/transplant it.

I’ll just have an extra head on hand. (I crack myself up)

Anyhow I’m expecting my Brass TS10 tomorrow or the next day.
4000k. Orange aux.

We need a cyan blue to match the MAO
