[Review] YLP F15 Falcon - TIR optic zoomy with an XP-L HI - better than a Led Lenser?

UPDATE:

Sadly a couple of months ago the switch on this light broke and stopped working. It was always quite stiff & heavy with a click. Went to use it and it felt as though something inside broke and it no longer clicks. This has rendered the light unusable (does not turn on). I’ve had no success at dismantling the light, it appears to be glued together. In over 10 years buying & collecting LED torches. This is the first to have failed in this manner to the point it has rendered the purchase completely unusable. The light had had moderate use, but had been well looked after, not a single mark on the anodising.

The lack of ability to repair the light and the fact it failed so catastrophically in such a short period of time. Would give me give me concerns over buying any other lights of this brand.

FURTHER UPDATE:

So, I completely failed to remove the head from this torch. But while attempting to do so, I must have slightly crushed the switch when holding the light. It made a loud click and now the switch is working again and better than ever. I’m guess that as the switch had always felt a bit odd that is assembled slightly incorrectly, which caused it to fail. Some brute force seems to have reseated it.

Very pleased the light is once again usable and working. But it really doesn’t seem to be a user friendly serviceable light.
