pict and first impression next week-end

Yesterday I received a Trustfire Mini-01 from easylightbuy.com. Quite pleased with the light. Very bright on high, and very useful on low with not much heat in continious use. A bit difficult though to handle with one hand due to the non aggressive knurling. Nice finish though without blemishes.
I excpected to also receive a replacement reflector for my previously ordered HD2010 from same company, but did instead receive a replacement glass lens. Hopefully they will correct the wrong shipment soon. Quite ok shipping time and polite and nice customer service. Ordered 7th of june, and received 18th, with cn post. Previous delivery was quicker though with HK post. I have been spoiled lately with shipment times from China when I ordered from both Excuct and now Easylightbuy. Cant compare to DX. Last order from them I had to wait 2 months…

Yes, if they ever upgrade the C808M to have the same features as the C9000, it would totally kick @$$. Mine is about 3.5 yrs old so sadly just outside of warranty period. I had purchased it along with AccuEvolution 10000mAh LSD D-cells. These have been absolutely fantastic and while I've never conducted any discharge tests, they are used in my power tie rack and charged maybe once a year. They are now serving duty in a Rayovac 3D lantern as I just picked up 4 Tenergy Centura 8000 mAh LSD D-cells since I've read good things about them. I'll let you know how they hold up in the long run but for the price, I think they're pretty good value. The AccuEvolutions are very pricey.

I'll post the C808M tear down over the weekend.

Cheers,
Tim

The Fenix LD40 from Manafont:

My Preon0 V2 arrived today. This light would be perfect with neutral tint.

Package from T.S. Hadow :open_mouth:

Thanks Tim! I've got a dozen Tenergy 10k mah's and will see how they hold up in my old 2d xenon lights that my dad likes to use. They have rubber ends so they don't break when he drops them which is all the time.

I agree!

I just received a knife (Smith and Wesson Bear Claw) that I ordered on Ebay from a Chinese seller and I received it today just 9 days later!

How that’s possible I don’t know but I’m not complaining. The seller was ibestoffer4u by the way.

What I got today was a very old and neglected project finished. My 18650 P-60 drop in headlamp is now complete. It is the most comfortable, most powerful, most useful headlamp I have. I started acquiring parts for this build about a year ago and finally finished it today.

1. Small Sun ZY-1801A headlamp.
2. Two Ultrafire headband light holders.
3. One Ultrafire 501B.
4. One Ultrafire 501B pressure switch with tail cap combo.

The finished results in all it’s glory. It has incredible brightness and run time it’s super comfortable and it takes any P-60 drop in you want to use. I can also swap the 501B tube for a 501A tube if I want to save weight and run an 18350 instead of an 18650.

So, is it better than what you got on Sunday? 0:)

I like!

Nice score.

I got a neutral XM-L Balder SE-1 from CQG. Bit odd, the clip seems the wrong way round. It’s as shown on the photos on Ric’s site, but different from the reviews here, and on Intl Online. I think it’s because the battery tube is on the wrong way. Trouble is, I can only get the tailcap off - I can’t shift the head. Nice and floody light with a 14500 in it.

Also got the Intl Outdoor P60 drop-in. I wanted the neutral version, but the one I’ve been sent looks pretty much the same as the Manafont UF 3 mode drop-in - if anything it’s whiter. I’ve emailed Hank.

I received my P-60 drop-in (from you Erik lol) & an using it in a 501B (also from Erik). I”m loving it. I actually use mine in a niteize head band. I put the light forward toward the tail cap & the weight from the front of the light holds the head at the perfect angle. I just did a run time on med with a Panasonic CGR18650ea & got 5 hrs. of bright light from the P60. I could drop it one level (still plenty of light) & get around 10 hrs. Very good indeed. This drop-in has a very pleasing tint, nice floody hot spot with a artifact free corona.

Thanks, I spent a lot of time focusing the reflector so you get a perfect beam. I glad you like the drop in, you should get many trouble free years of service from it if you take care of it.

I bought a brand-new (without box) Fenix E21 on eBay tonight for $24.95 shipped.

It’s the CW version, which is exactly what I wanted since this will be used as a bike light. I find that the way that cool white beams reflect off of things is better for this purpose.

Anyways, I think I got a really great deal for less than $25.

I”m not sure I follow you Woody when you say “I can”t shift the head”. Do you mean you can”t “remove the head”? I have the SE1 from LH with the “head up” clip & I can remove the head but can”t turn the tube around as the guts are glued inside the end of tube. I got this one so as to clip on my ball cap (plus LH ships faster) & then I ordered the one from IO with the head down clip (LH did not have this one). This has become my EDC because of the very nice NW beam, 14500 brightness & it”s small lightweight form.

Keith

Sorry, I meant I can’t get the head off. Maybe I’m just a weakling. Not too bothered though, and as you say, handy to clip on to a cap. At first, I thought there were a load of things I don’t like - clip wrong way round, no memory, starts on high. But it does have a very nice beam on 14500 (haven’t tried eneloops yet), and for some uses, starting on high isn’t a problem, so I’m quite happy with it.

Oh, and Hank is sorting out the drop-in problem. He’s a good guy.

Received my Skyray King today. I can see what the fuss is all about with this light. Shame about the lack of body colour choice but the side switch more than makes up for it. Batteries charged and fitted and can’t wait to try it out tonight to compare it with my Fenix TK41 for throw at 75 metres (the nearest white wall from my front garden).
It was the longest day in the UK two days ago so it will be quite a while before it gets dark tonight but at least the nights will be closing in earlier every day, Hooray!!.
