advice for a "luxury" AA/14500 with LED indicator and moonlight

Not sure why the approach of winter always gives the urge to get new flashlights.

I’m looking to fill out my collection with something that I don’t have - a flashlight that can use AA or 14500, and has an LED indicator to find in the dark, and a good moonlight mode. Anduril would be nice, but not a requirement. And maybe something that has a good feel - not as utilitarian as the sofirns that I have?

It would be a big plus if it has USB-C for charging, but that doesn’t seem very common for this size light, especially if AA batteries can be used.

Have you considered a Stoned Ti Pineapple with a tail Trit? : https://www.reylight.net/product/ti-pineapple/
Its a big light… feels solid

LED buttons might not work on AA. I think they only work w LiIon.

if you give up the button marker, the EagTac D3A is a very nice AA/14500 host, imo, considerably smaller and lighter than the reylight

I don’t have an answer, but I’d be interested in it if anyone does.

So far, I like the Wurkkos TS10 for this type of thing. It has aux LEDs under the reflector and Anduril 2 will give me low lows, but it won’t run AA at all. You could use a cell with built in USBc charging, but the one that came with it doesn’t have it.

 I had a Sofirn SP10 Pro arrive yesterday and it’s luxurious compared to my other AA/14500 flashlights. I’m impressed with the max output and the lowest level is definitely moonlight like. The side switch feels a bit budget, but the rest seems very decent. I haven’t tried it on AA battery yet, only a Vapcell gold 14500. No led indicator or USB charging.

I also love the SP10’s low low moonlight. It’s the lowest of all my lights, I love it. I wish the button was easier to find in the dark. That’s the biggest miss of this light is the itty bitty button that doesn’t protrude much and is difficult to find by touch.

me too

I prefer the lighted button on the SC21 Pro (only LiIon), very convenient. The low is 0.02, not quite as low as SP10 Pro, but close.

That seems like the best solution for the original poster’s requirements. I wouldn’t mind picking one up if they have a special on sometime.

Replace the side switch with a tail switch on this quest and you’ll have my attention.

You’re right, M150 is pretty good. I wish they used USB-C charging instead of that magnetic charger though

That’s coming from someone who already has the magnetic USB charger…somewhere.
