Sorry, but while it’s great it was no problem for you, this is NOT representative of everyone. This is the insidious nature of COVID. Some people experience minimal symptoms while others have more grave ones. Vaccinations do a great job of helping patients survive. But you know, the vaccination rate has dropped in the USA. People are more apt to go by their own “seeing is believing,” either their experience of COVID or by others in their orbit. It’s a logical fallacy to conclude that this is representative for everyone else. People are letting their guards down, which degrades efforts to expunge the virus from society.
Lucky you. I got it in August and it was like intense flu lasting a week - with a significant hit to cognition - then an additional 3 weeks of lingering malaise. Although had I not been goaded into a Dr visit by the SO I would have dismissed it as unseasonal flu.
To preface this, I believe in science and vaccines that have been around for decades. But I had both Pfizer’s and a booster and still caught the ’Rona and was sick for over a week. How can anyone know the long term side effects of a brand new medication that had limited testing?
I trust the scientific process, but I don’t trust pharmaceutical companies to act in our best interests. There’s too much money at stake.

Hey, can one of you guys recommend an 18500 battery for the DW4? The 18350 is awesome but the light is hard to hold because it’s so small
I’m going crazy thinking about all the different combinations of the mirrors I can get when I buy more of these bad boys. I think the next one will be a combination of emitters to give me great tint ramping, and maybe the one after that I’ll have a thrower or maybe a monochromatic blue. And I’m definitely going to get one with all ultraviolet emitters

Panasonic NCR18500A for capacity (not sure if it can run a DW4 with only 3A).
I wouldn’t get anything besides the Panny 18500….and if you want it protected for whatever reason, Keeppower has them under their label as the P1850C3. I picked up a pair of them at Illumn but I think Aloft Hobbies had some, and Liion and a couple other stores seemed to be out of stock forever. I’d be hesitant to order these from aliexpress. The china cells all seem to be crud for this size but I’ve never owned any of them myself.
18350…I’ve got the Vapcell green F14 3A 1400mAh (it’s a tad less than that) for a little higher capacity in some lights and the Keeppower UH1835P 10A 1200mAh for others (not sure what’s in the Keeppower but it’s a really capable cell with great capacity for the drain).
I don’t know how the 18500 would fare in that light…should be well enough but if you are fond of turbo or running for longer periods of time it might fall flat a little bit. The Pannys are good cells, though.
18650…Sony VTC6 or Samsung 30Q or the Molicell similar ones are great. If you usually stay out of turbo or use it for shorter periods where the voltage can bounce back up, the 35E and similar higher mAh cells might get you a little more run time overall. If you run the 35E and such at higher currents often, the actual capacity will often be a washout where you might as well get the higher drain lower capacity 30Q instead.
Yes of course. Vaccination won’t prevent you from catching COVID, nor does it act as a reliable barrier to stop transmission. But symptomatic people can be more transmissible than those who aren’t. If the vaccine minimizes symptoms then it’s helping to cut down some transmission.
Keeping in mind about disinfo and politically related inferences not tolerated here, note that all vaccines have some side effects. And yes, some people can have bad reactions. That’s the reality for any vaccine. I’ve had side effects with every vaccine I’ve gotten. Just feeling low energy, tired, body aches, and on my 2nd inoculation I stayed in bed for a day. Within 24~36 hours, totally fine. No lingering symptoms. No worse than a flu shot. I haven’t gotten COVID. My housemate got it. Two members of my family (who I don’t live with) got it. I’ve socialized with people who had it and recovered. I’ve been generally good about popping on a mask when in close quarters in public, except for restaurants with anti-viral ventilation systems.

I’ve bought from 18650BatteryStore, Illumn, and BatteryJunction. I don’t know what’s going on with shipping, but some sites are charging outrageous shipping fees for batteries now. I was looking to get a few cells and while preparing to check out at Illumn and preparing for a $7~8 charge, it was $16. Same at LiionWholesale. JLHawaii808 seems to have better pricing. But, they don’t have a few cells of interest.
