Fireflylite new fresh product--P01 14500 EDC Fliashlight available in stock now

I actually can’t stand tiny lights (AA/AAA sized tubes) that have tiny side switches to go along with them. They’re hard to find, hard to activate, and just not comfortable in general. So to me, a large, protruding button is a plus.

I’m not sure about making the button raised on top of an already raised base is good or not. I like Zebralight’s implementation of side switches in their lights the best.

However, I could also care less about accidentally activating the button while the lights in my pocket either, because I’d always be physically locking the light out by twisting the tailcap— even with Zebralights.

It looks like WIP, and it want’s my email addres which I don’t want to give (yet).

Good job FF’s! A new 14500 light with auxiliaries! I like the raised button too and am a regular user of 4-clicks lockout. Great ano colors. Looking forward to the new website.

Thanks!

Lazy design, the switch to body size ratio is ridiculous

Hmm I feel like the switch area compromises a lot of the appeal of a 14500 light - which is compact size and slimness.

Why would you buy this unless you’re A: a Fireflies fan or B: don’t like the FWAA/1A, TS10, FW3A, SP10S be, etc, etc… with the iffy quality control and customer service…no thanks

Linear driver without anduril? :person_facepalming: Why? I can build a linear driver with anduril for $3, Basically any attiny, fet, one 7135 and some passives and you got a driver with anduril. I would only accept other firmware if it would be buck converter based. Slim 14500 with anduril buck based driver is what I’m dreaming of .

These would sell a lot as gifts. $30 a pop vs $20 a pop for the TS10 which needs another charger. The no brainer UI can be picked up and learn without a manual.

I popped over here cause I was in the mood to hear a bunch of whining, and some of you did NOT disappoint. :+1:

No fully comparable flashlight on the market, but sure why not, let me join in too. WAAAAAAAAAAA WAAAAAAAAAA :person_facepalming:

I still don’t know what to think about the flashlight, but that head is somehow disproportionate with the body. And unless it helps maintaining those 900 lumens for a while (5 minutes?) …it could have been slimmer!

I was expecting something “rugged” but with narrower lines! I needed to have one in the hand to see how well it would work.

Also, yes, I was expecting a different UI, although this may be interesting to explore!

Where are we seeing pricing? The website won’t load for me on any browser.

Ivy, welcome to BLF!

I have some questions if you can answer them and other enthusiasts & modders might want to know:

Can you share a photo of the pocket clip?

Will it accept normal length button top cells or just the included usb-c cell?

Will it accept normal length flat top cells?

Does it have reverse polarity protection (electronic or physical)?

Does it have low voltage protection, and if so, what voltage is the cutoff point?

And also if is does have low voltage protection, does the cutoff work with the aux lights on, or does it work only for the main emitter?

Can you tell us what size driver board is used?

Are any of the threads glued to prevent disassembly?

If you know the dimensions of the optic that might be helpful, too (width, height, emitter hole size, etc).

And here’s a very random one, but is there any way you might be able to share photos or a video of the testing equipment you use to achieve the IP water resistance rating?

Thank you if you can answer any of these for us.

I think it’s an attractive light, a little different look to it but pretty classy and eye catching. I might be interested in buying one. Some may not like the bulge at the head but it does have advantages (heat sinking on a higher power 14500 being one of them, which can help even if it’s a linear driver).

Very excited to for the website opening, will be buying.
Its in stock but I have no access, ahhhhhhhhh

Please say what something you like

Please clap?

I like that the metal button makes the light look very premium, and the matching button AUX makes it look even more premium. Magnet is awesome too.

I also like and appreciate that you came and shared these pictures with us, directly. So thank you for that and welcome to BLF. Hopefully the welcome gets a little more respectful from here.

The original PL47 was such a steaming pile of doo-doo, Fireflies went to the top of my do-not-buy list.
These new lights got my attention. I like big buttons, warm emitters, magnetic tails, and any anodize color that’s not black. But that goofy non-ramping UI is a deal breaker. Looks like Fireflies is staying on my do-not-buy list.

LOVE IT!

Simple UI is great. Not everything wearing Anduril is desired

I kind of like the overall design of the body. The switch area is a bit big with sharp edges but the bigger size might help with grip and ergonomics. I very much appreciate the presence of lighted switch as well as AUX leds.

I dont see anything mentioned about controlling the AUX leds. Does it have high, low, blink modes like anduril ?

I like the design though wish it used 18650 (making the tube thicker). It’s like cars - some love Cadillacs others prefer BMW.
