Recently purchased the D4v2 and d4k with clips but they are terrible and will not fit over normal jeans without force. Are there any other clips made that will work and work well for these?
I’m not a big clip person but I find the one on my D4K works great even with thinner fabric pants and with all my jeans. Assuming you mean the deep carry bend at the end is too narrow for the hems?
I don’t think there’s a lot to choose from without modifying. Hank’s clip uses the same narrow ears/arms that Simon uses on the S2+ and S21. That’s your limiter. If you see other clips you like but they have the normal wider ears then you can grind those down to suit if it’s worth the time to you.
Simon’s S21 clip looks like it should work just fine. I don’t have it so I can’t comment on strength, etc. As I measure the D4K the clip ears are 2.95mm and the groove on the body is 24.0mm. Simon’s clip might be a snug fit or nick up the top edge of the checkering (but then again I’m sure he measured as-painted so that paint may just come off and be a fine fit…and really that difference is verrry minimal). Should grip the body fine without needing any fine tuning/bending.

Yes I am referring to the deep carry bend which is difficult to push over my jeans. Amazed that there is not some easy alternative to such a popular light. How do most folks carry these things?

Generally from Simon to the US it’s about 2-3 weeks (these days with our USPS troubles, more often 3-4). Chinese New Year right now so there’s always additional delay until businesses and shipping ramp up again.
I can’t recall which model now but Olight has a clip or two that are the same as Simon’s above….it’ll cost more but it should arrive more quickly. Or, if you don’t mind the grinding, trim down the ears and that opens up a lot more clips, maybe even on Amazon (probably even one of theWurkkos/Sofirn clips). Trouble might be that gap, though. A little creative bending could open it up a bit if you can’t find one to your liking ready-made.
Clip on or not, mine usually ends up in a pocket or tool bag anyway. The clip is handy for anti-roll. Mine is primarily a working light.
