Looks identical to the c8 q5 I got earlier this month, what’s the tail cap reading? I get 1.38a off a limpfire 3000 (or any of the other cells I tried) I agree the throw is awesome, and it works well as an under vehicle torch in a headstrap, mine see’s use every day.
The threads are good but were dry (nothing a little grease didn’t fix) and it’s blow lamped into a lovely copper colour today lol :bigsmile:
I don’t see no PWM…
Can anybody tell me how this differs from the U4-MCU? I have a couple of those that I like, but they cost more than this.

On one hand, @rikr ask me if Tmart is willing to provide a GB price for BLFers because UltraFire G4-MCU Q5 was proved to be a nice flashlight.
On the other hand, Tmart reserves adequate inventory of UltraFire G4-MCU Q5 in U.S warehouse. so if there are more than 10 guys who make up minds to join this deal. The price would be only $10.99. Just wait and see.

I bought one a year ago from tmart. There’s a thread somewhere
So how much brighter is the MCU version than the standard Q5s on ebay? I have one I LOVE and it puts out near 300 lumens.
I have several other Q5 lights and they don’t throw like this one, that’s why I ordered 2 of them and the way it looks for this price another one. It’s my favorite C8 light.
I was looking for that link, I also bought one of those. I liked mine as I didn’t plan on modding it, but now I’d like to and will have to cobble up a new pill.
Is the pill solid?
Is the reflector aluminum?
Is the lens glass?
How hard is it driven on high - med- low?
I got an Ebay($8.99) version of this light and it was driven at 1.8amps
The pill is solid, it has a aluminum reflector and a glass lens. I’m not sure how hard it’s driven I have never checked but the way it throws I would say pretty good.

The Jacob has a smaller hot spot so it throws further, but the beam on the G4-MCU is more usable.
