You know you are a flashaholic when:

You buy a new camera to take photos of the innards of torches....

;)

LOL Fishinfool! I love it. You know you're a flashaholic when...

- You take your flashlights for a beach vacation in Hawaii!

Definitely nice.

Old4570-

Sorry, "missus" is slang for wife. Btw, I've always meant to tell you good choice on your screen name. A 405gr hardcast bullet @ 1800fps works amazingly well on some of the larger hogs around here

Oooo, herro fellow. I'm into broadcasting but on the FM side, been an fcc engineer (for whatever that's worth) and WELL into broadcast audio processing for better part of a decade now.

If you wanna sound like God on the air, check this out: http://www.ceaudio.com/ an audio processor I'm involved with. Effortlessly competes with the latest offering from Omnia and totally destroys the Orban 8600, for a price that's about as cheap as it can be without losing money selling it. It does support asymmetric clipping too, if you have a DC-straight audio card to output it from. Like a Marian Trace Alpha.

Stop by the forums. There's some pretty decent 'ham' setups running it now, including a 1,000,000 watt ERP directional outside of salt lake city. Another proper use for the term "flame thrower". ;) Cheers.

Funny Don! The camera was a gift but I did spend a few hours rounding up my flashlights, packing them in towels to protect them, driving them out to the beach, unpacking them and setting them up.

I AM a Flashaholic and I'm proud of it.

Let me add to that:

You know you're a flashaholic when...

- You take your flashlights for a beach vacation in Hawaii!

And even though several dozen people looked at you like you were crazy, it did not bother you one bit.

OMG...look at those lights...I'm years away from those collection. Which is your best light, old4570 and fishinfool?

[/quote]

I love all my lights equally Laughing but my favorites are the Aurora SH-34, the TrustFire F23 and the UltraFire C3 because I love stainless steel (something I caught from Don ) and because they fit just fine in my pockets.

I too got the SS bug from Don. Can't wait that the LT prize C3 comes to me. Already bought some polishing stuff. :D

Actually, I was talking about me :)

I did....

Can't wait to see the light you make when that reflector is finished. Looks like it could heat sink any LED! :)

Planning to light up nearby planets with it?

Dang...restoring the front fender of a '38 coupe....I was never any good at body work. As a car nut, I'd love to see the finished product!

Naaa , you missed my pun !

I dont have a wife or Girl friend ... Found them to be too demanding ..

Demanding that I stop playing with my toys .... Guns cars bikes etc ....

Here in Oz , not much too chose from , all a bunch of Socialistas !

So until I find a nice Republican ! I will just fly solo ... Im not selling my soul to be with a headache !

As soon as my camera is working again I’ll have to take my lights outside and take some pictures against the lovely vistas of Bolton.
Obviously I’ll have to have them all turned out to fight the overwhelming dankness.
Fishinfool, I think secretly we all hate you a bit now :stuck_out_tongue:

C'mon now, can't we all just get along? LOL

I think my next pictures will be of Mauna Kea in the background or maybe one with waterfalls in the background. Probably not for a long time because it took a half a day just to take the pictures above. Too much work.

You know you are the King of Flashaholics when you have almost 200 flashlights!

I just went looking and I can only find 126 lights in this room. There are others - but where they are is anyone's guess. Ah, just spotted 4 more. Make that 130 lights. I've given away/broken/lost most of the BLF Cheapskates DeLights so that is probably around the true number - not counting the squeeze lights that I probably have 20-30 of knocking around. Just spotted another one - up to 131 plus whatever is in the car.

I tried the stuff from BreakAway. My PC isn't powerfull enough for it I guess lol. I also bought a low latency sound card for BreakAway live but everything just had a slight delay in it and it drove me nuts for monitoring live audio. It is some incredible software though.

I got 4 or 5 pieces of cheap gear I use all dumped into my balanced modulator that works pretty decent.

You should have a flashlight hunting day kind of like Easter when kids go out and hunt for easter eggs but in your case they search your house hunting for flashlights. Laughing

That was some genuine fun! Thanks for the laugh to all.

I left out the Solarforce Skyline 1 as with the stock driver it doesn't perform well with an 18650 - it needs 6V which is also its maximum voltage.

Twenty-eight 18650s are needed to fuel that little lot.

And here are their holsters. Must go out and get some black dye for all those camo holsters.

And here they all are on a belt which is slightly longer than my waist. This lot with cells weighs about 7kg (15-16lbs). Runtime ought to be quite a long time if I use them one at a time.

Their light-emitting bits. ROP High, ROP Low, SST-90, 400 lumen showerhead, ROP High fed by two 32600s, Low-power LED replacement bulb. Runtime is measured in weeks. 3C Streamlight Twin-Task clone, triple K2 made by Elektrolumens.

CR123 lights. There are a couple missing - a Nuwai 3xCR123 light with a Luxeon V which was the monster powered multi-die LED of its day - and the Mr.Lite LT3 that I forgot about since it was on my belt.

AA/AAA/CR2/Strange cell lights. Far too many for a picture of less than 4 acres to make sense.
