Show off your collection! *pics*

As soon as my camera is working again I’ll have to take my lights outside and take some pictures against the lovely vistas of Bolton.
Obviously I’ll have to have them all turned out to fight the overwhelming dankness.
Fishinfool, I think secretly we all hate you a bit now :stuck_out_tongue:

C'mon now, can't we all just get along? LOL

I think my next pictures will be of Mauna Kea in the background or maybe one with waterfalls in the background. Probably not for a long time because it took a half a day just to take the pictures above. Too much work.

You know you are the King of Flashaholics when you have almost 200 flashlights!

I just went looking and I can only find 126 lights in this room. There are others - but where they are is anyone's guess. Ah, just spotted 4 more. Make that 130 lights. I've given away/broken/lost most of the BLF Cheapskates DeLights so that is probably around the true number - not counting the squeeze lights that I probably have 20-30 of knocking around. Just spotted another one - up to 131 plus whatever is in the car.

I tried the stuff from BreakAway. My PC isn't powerfull enough for it I guess lol. I also bought a low latency sound card for BreakAway live but everything just had a slight delay in it and it drove me nuts for monitoring live audio. It is some incredible software though.

I got 4 or 5 pieces of cheap gear I use all dumped into my balanced modulator that works pretty decent.

You should have a flashlight hunting day kind of like Easter when kids go out and hunt for easter eggs but in your case they search your house hunting for flashlights. Laughing

That was some genuine fun! Thanks for the laugh to all.

I left out the Solarforce Skyline 1 as with the stock driver it doesn't perform well with an 18650 - it needs 6V which is also its maximum voltage.

Twenty-eight 18650s are needed to fuel that little lot.

And here are their holsters. Must go out and get some black dye for all those camo holsters.

And here they all are on a belt which is slightly longer than my waist. This lot with cells weighs about 7kg (15-16lbs). Runtime ought to be quite a long time if I use them one at a time.

Their light-emitting bits. ROP High, ROP Low, SST-90, 400 lumen showerhead, ROP High fed by two 32600s, Low-power LED replacement bulb. Runtime is measured in weeks. 3C Streamlight Twin-Task clone, triple K2 made by Elektrolumens.

CR123 lights. There are a couple missing - a Nuwai 3xCR123 light with a Luxeon V which was the monster powered multi-die LED of its day - and the Mr.Lite LT3 that I forgot about since it was on my belt.

AA/AAA/CR2/Strange cell lights. Far too many for a picture of less than 4 acres to make sense.

Snap I have the same light, the 8th one from the right, Mine uses a cr123 and has a Luxeon led

I had two of those - both with Luxeon 3s in them. One of them was fearsomely bright. The other one (Needless to say, the surviving one) wasn't. The light two to the right of that was my first light with a driver in it - the back of the reflector shorted it and killed both the driver and the LED. It has a rather odd ProLight 3W LED in it and a couple of resistors to tame the current.

Don I have 2 as well one I have swapped for xre r2 and it was bright but only for 10mins .

Just playing. Took the 2 minute values for several lights, added them together then collected the lights and pointed them at the ceiling. The room sure was bright - the torches were providing all the illumination.

Ceiling

Opposite side of 3x3.5m (10x12') room

I know, the room badly needs repainting..

They are not many but I call them my babies

You have very beautiful babies Aleister. Smile

SDome lovely babies there!

...but that would ruin the continuity for your ceiling bounce testing! :P

:P

This isn't a picture of the full collection, about a third of them. A little bit different as this picture has at least one of every different emitter I've got.

Left to right:

Coast LED Lenser: Nichia GS

Sipik SK68: Cree XR-E

Crelant 7G1: Cree XP-G

Sipik SK56: Osram Golden Dragon

Techlite Lumen Master: Cree XP-E

Ultrafire C1: XM-L (yay it came yesterday)

Rebranded Dorcy/Nexxtech: Luxeon Rebel TFFC

Wow, some awesome collections!!! really need the glasses for these!

I started with my DIY LED torches, two AA cell with resistors and 5mm clear Super Bright LEDs, PVC pipes, 80c slider switches. I was freaking out at the 40mA I was giving these yellow LEDs! And then came the $10 white 5mm 9000mcd LEDs (OMG), and then the singe cell boost circuits from silicon chip magazine (electronics hobby magazine) put into 2AA bodies from the local $2 shop. Toward the end of my highschool time the luxeons started coming out, but I didnt know I was a LED addict then. Between then and Now, there have been many torches along the way, DIY and bought. Maglites at the time were the pinnacle of torches, with me buying many other cheaper ones along the way! My dad then came back from Hong Kong with a Luxeon III Superfire, which has AMAZING machining quality, with threads smoother than anything i have even now! Thats where it started. About 5 months ago... Bought the Trustfire R5A3, and then all these pre-loved Nitecore torches in varying conditions.

So ill try to take a picture of what the collection is currently at, sorry only text atm.

Fishinfool, I love that D10 in the front, thats a BEAUTIFUL grey, Im waiting to find one of those for myself.
