Yesterday my Mastech LX1330B lux meter arrived from Amazon.
This weekend I hope to complete my integrated sphere (was hoping it would be completed by the time the lux meter arrived) so it would be ready for two new reviews I’ll be starting this weekend. Real OTF lumen numbers and legit maximum throw calculations here I come. Woot!!!
Vance & Hines straight pipe exhaust for the Sporty!!! Got them used from my brother in law with only a hundred miles on them free of charge. He is selling his bike and let me have the exhaust. Took them home this morning, let the bike cool off, and just finished installing. Wow!! What a difference!
Nice score Vance and Hines makes great pipes. I put a set on my Dads Vulcan 1500 when he had it. I borrowed it for the weekend and gave it back with the pipes and a jet kit installed. I installed it as birthday present and rode it around all weekend until I got the jetting perfect. I think i saw him tear up a little when I dropped it off, best gift ever. You might want to go up on the main 5 points and a couple on the pilot try Jetsrus for the best price.
I am sure they are genuine. The batteries have proper date stamps, and as you can see the charger is too complicated to be fake, build quality is very good. It functions properly. But I am using eneloop pro’s instead of white eneloops that comes with the charger.
Got a dodgy 97c usb charger from meritline. Not even sure I should use it.
A silver SF L2 from ali express. Draws 2.8a from the generic 5 mode led. Not sure if its genuine but looks ok to me.
A lock back bear grills knife, also from ali express: Cost $8 (a joke / gift for a friend)
Sadly, the fem trooper is just an old joke on one of the other members, if I had THAT available do you think my interest in flashlights would be as strong? J)
No, what I got was the sensible, practical people carrier, that’s not a toy in the slightest……nossir, no toys here….
That is an awesome rig, I wish we had more turbo diesel options for offroaders in the states. I love my old XJ Jeep it was next to impossible to find a stick shift 4.0 liter 6 banger it took me almost 2 years of searching.
It’s under tyred and needs an intercooler, and the pump turning up but I got it for less than the average price of a stocker. Stick my winch on at weekend then its ready for the school run……
I have got 2 of these battery cases for 12 AAs each. They are really nice made. It looks and feels very sturdy. The inside is made of rubber, so the batteries don’t rattle inside. Protected 14500 fit also nicely. http://www.batteryjunction.com/tpea-taacase.html
A quite big SMO reflector, but very tiny overall. The switches could be a bit more sensitive for my taste, but the UI sure is a winner. Another interesting part is the tailcap thread. Steep, wide and square cut, it needs just one turn to close the cap. The red power indicator light flashes once all six seconds, making it easy to find the flashlight in the dark. This can be either switched off, or permanetly on. The strobe and SOS modes are hidden.
I will probably get the 2AA version too.
That’s way too much that they are asking for that light. You can get it on ebay easily for $16-$23. Tmart need to drop the price majorly. Awesome little light though!
