Li-Ion chargers with voltmeter?

Same battery, same battery holder, same USB power adapter, same DMM,…
So?

I ordered one of these voltmeters, too. But what's the plug called like? I want to attach testing leads.

Any pcb connector with the usual 2.54mm spacing will do...

The same Voltmeter seller “toymodel55” has these 5 pack jumper cables for $1.40

or these with testing leads pre-attached:

Steve, it’s good you replied here, as I didn’t want to link to your pictures, why don’t you edit your post above with your actual pictures  : https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/5973#comment-181345

Steve’s idea is what I originally wanted to do but mounting it vertically on the endcap instead, but after seeing FX32’s, i’m already cutting my MP1 that way. now, just need to drill 3 extra holes for the other pins. I used these jumper cables instead: www.ebay.com/itm/280794035840 but would have been better if I’d gotten them all in one package from toymodel55.

I didn't use any connectors, so my pictures don't really apply here But thanks for linking my post

I originally intended to use some pcb connectors from my parts box, but then I thought it was too much hassle, so I just soldered wires to the display pins. I also planned to put the display on the end cap like you do, but once I opened up the charger I saw that there was so much room on that side, so I thought that was the best spot to drill holes into.

BTW, this is a really useful mod, since you can always put a battery in the charger (without plugging it in) just to check the voltage. Very convenient!

While I commend your skill (I built a dual 18650 LED charger too), there will be a commercial option by Late Summer  it should be “budget friendly”. Stay tuned!

i got turnigy accucell 6 charger for 33$ included shipping i used old powersupply of modem router, cant recommend any more it has alarm function which is useful i can play games while its charging and know when its finish alarm goes off.

i feel safe using this charger because it has safety functions i am learning to charge 4-6 cells at once now but seriously why would u get anything else ? this charger also good if u decide to get into some r/c stuff

- i have used it to charge car and motorcycle batteries, believe it or not i sold my old car battery charger for 30$ (its used to be worth 15:money_mouth_face: lmao how price gone up on these and bought this one which cost only 3$ more and its shipped to my house lol

Hey,

Anyone familiar with the cotton pickers usb charger on cpf marketplace? Which option is the best if I just want to charge 18650 (TF Flame, Himax, Sanyo), 10440 (ultrafire blue), 14500 (TF Flame), 16340 (ultrafire) and have a display. Thx

Now DX has these 1A charger

Cotton Picker has a standard triple charger with 90/320/620 that should cover all the bases for you. I believe they ar $50 shipped if I remember correctly. BTW his customer service cant be beat. I accidently shorted my charger out and he sent me a replacement free of charge.

Thanks ch061571 for your help

Who are you replying to?

There will be an 18650 charger with LED that displays voltage?

How about compatibility with other sizes, such as 26650?

Any idea on how to get these boards to 4.3/4.35V output?

Same question

I asked cottonpickers and he told me that its a different IC.. I found some, but none on a "ready to go" charger board.

i found this voltmeter on DX today!

Kreisler, that actually looks pretty interesting since I think it is able to measure 2 seperate voltages. (4 wires and 4 number displays)

thx .. i am not sure if this product is really helpful, i dont understand the specs.

in any case i am having trouble with DX. 8 weeks ago they shipped a tracked package (Panasonic cells) and it never reached Geman ground. But it does seem to have departed from CN airport. And DX continues to ask me to wait instead of resending the cells.

i hate them.

Or volts and ampers? Both with two digits? Maybe not?

Look at the specifications, it can measure voltage and current, this probably means that one set of wires is for voltage and the other set is for current.

But there is missing information about:

1) Can current and voltage be measured from the same source?

2) How much current does the unit use.

3) What is the voltage drop when measuring current.
