ripped off on ebay :-(

my other hobby is home cinema…… just recieved a new set of fronts that cost £1000 off ebay… this is what i recieved….

Just file a paypal claim to get your money back.

Oy vey.

I feel a great disappointment when I receive a $30 torch that has scratches in the anodizing, or other shipping marks.

I cannot imagine how gutted you feel after dropping a ton on that.

just have, thing is these things are rare…. im so gutted, iv waited 14 months for a pair of thes to pop up :frowning:

Start Ebay dispute ASAP.
Also, did the package have visible damage when you signed for it? If it did, you shouldnt have signed in the first place.

yeah i know, mortified…. hpefully ebay will come good and sort me out…. ALWAYS LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

Hi, yeah my girlfriend signed for it, i was at work…… iv done the dispute within 5 mins of opening the packages and seeing this disgrace…… il be honest, im not mad, im ashamed iv been conned like this :frowning:

Hopefully you’ll come out on top. Ebay does tend to come down on the side of the buyer.

Good luck.

thanks  just had a message promising a new delivery of these… dont know how as they are rare!!! we shall see……

Dont close the claim yet because if you do you cannot reopen it.

no i havnt, ill be waiting for them to arrive and i will be checking them for any defects…… if anything under par arrives il be looking for a full refund and more…… On a plus note a 14500 bat arrived today also which let me check out my new xtar wk26 out

Are those different colors?^^

And how can transportation damage be a rip-off? I mean.. relax. That foot plate can even be exchanged rather easy..

yep… on in black, one in birdseye maple…… i don t know about you but if i send something via mail i expect it at least in one piece :-/

ps and no the plinth cant be replaced easily… they are now rare speakers and parts would be very hard to come by

Yeah, but then its the delivery services fault. ;)

Well, that plate is nothing more than painted MDF..

no thre supplier has admitted fault, yes the plinth is mdf but is coated in something i could never repair……

Let me guess… UPS was the carrier, they made no effort to reject the senders pack-job and the sender didn’t ship the OEM box in an over-pack container with sufficient padding?

Items will get thrown and jostled around in transit, regardless of shipping carrier. Its the carriers responsibility to scrutinize the senders pack-job and reject any that are poorly equipped for the journey. Cant tell you how many damaged goods I have received via UPS, where neither they nor the sender adequately packed the item.

+1, I’m quite sure it was shipping carrier fault, they screwed it |( (unless the box wasn’t damaged, then —> sellers fault)

So they must be repackaged? Otherwise, it seems the manufacturer would have sufficient protection for those obviously delicate corners.

Hard to classify it as a con unless the seller sent it damaged and was hoping to pin the blame on the carrier. However, that’s a risky move, even for a scammer. Either way you got screwed, whether it be from a shady seller or insufficient packing. I feel your frustration, especially after waiting so long.

There is no need for goods to ne poorly handled during shipping, definitely a problem with the shipping Co.
