Darn it all to heck !!!! I want one .... But which one ?

Thanks for the report ...

Might have to see about the B2SN ....

I put a mechanical clicky [ reverse ] in my AAA and its so easy to us now .. [ use great care = 10440 ] check to make sure it does not short out at the head , needs to be a 10440 with a small button top just like a AA ..

Hey Boaz, thanks for the great report! Do you think you could take a comparison photo of them all side by side? That would be amazing if ya could :)

Boaz - How does the B2SN compare with the Eastward YJ J09? Brightness, spacing, etc...

Sam

i totally agree with the clicky on the AAA is a pain in the a**I got the 2 mode instead of the three and I ordered the 3 in the neutral I don’t know if I got a neutral . I said i’d wait longer for the 3 mode version he has run out of .i waited a long time and got the 2 mode so .i put it away very quickly and haven’t played with it much at all… I got my lights early in the morning ,and it didn’t impress me in the day BUTeverything looks better at night . it is actually looking better … i just want the 3 mode . i think i was pushing the finicky switch thinking … where the hell is 3rd gear ??

I wanted to take some pics of my lights but I sorta see it as bragging ..lets just say ..i have way too many lights

lol. Boaz, this is BLF. We all share the same 'problem'. If you post photos and 'brag', im sure most of us will just admire :)

The photos on cnqualitygoods are excellent but they don't really provide a visual comparison for sizes which is what i was wondering. However I know its sometimes a pain to get photos onto a computer, so no worries!

That's an interesting question because they are very similar although my eastward is the 4 mode r3 xpe not the xpg r5 like the n-light b2s They are surprisingly almost the same barring the low low mode ..low med and high ..same same same .But the tints are polar opposites the b2s shows it's little green tint and the eastward shows the pink .not bad at all and . both mostly on lower modes which is better than on high and with a 14500 in the b2s it blows the crap out of the eastward the medium might be brighter than the high on the eastward new battery in the eastward too and it was pulling huge numbers of amps last i checked .24 / .40/ 1.40/2.60amps low low med high eastward on a eneloop@ 1.3 volts a lil low .. ..with the 14500 there's no contest low looks like med and med. looks like high then the b2s goes to high and you start looking for big lights to compare it to .real big ones EDIT::: i did look at all my p60 drop ins .. it smokes every light I have ..all of them the B9 is the same light different body .. they're bright .. big time bright

Gah! That's not what I wanted to hear about that b2sn..... Now I need to add another light to the "want" list.

Thanks Boaz!

Boaz, can you tell me the size of the b2sn? comparable size to another (common) budget light? I just want to get an idea for the size of this light. I dont want another bright AA light that is as big as an 18650 light (like my mr.lite J4 and BLF-Y4E)

yezl z1/ B9 / B2S / BLF light / L2 n-light / Solarforce w/optional rubber bands..

wow that is perfect boaz! I appreciate that a ton!

took me like a week to do it

Wow! Nice collection there Boaz.

Thats very cool Boaz!

Admiration :)

Its a really compact light the B2S N

This thread is about old4570s' AAA stainless steel light

which I formerly bashed but it's growing on me

okwchin if you think the 2BS is small you need to see the AAA.. it's almost the exact same size as a 701 or 1 703 AAA tank ..maybe a 1.4 inch shorter ..and obviouslyheavy .. it's got a great shine on it where the b2s is the dullest of them all and the 2 mode is actually ok , maybe it's even better but Old4570 is right the clicky isn't so hot .. on the bigger models it's ok but in the tiny version ... nope it sorta sucks .. i'm gonna give it a chance .. sadly it's up against a EX10 nitecore right now and losing

I took out the electronic clicky switch and put in a regular reverse clicky , now its a dream to use ... and my fav EDC ...

I must have missed it...what was so terrible about the original switch? Was it hard to operate, have quesionable functionality, or did it nick your beer when you weren't looking?

the switch doesn't really work it's a pain to have it work right you have to do a really supurb job of double tapping to get the 2 nd mode out of it .. mine was supposed to be a 3 mode and so that bugged me originally but now not so much the button is so tiny and there is like a little collar around the sides of the button too .. you end up just shutting off the light when you're trying to change modes ..so 2 mode is better .. it would be jus like a SS tank 703 or 701 or 702 actually if you've ever had one . it's nicer than I'm giving it credit for i used it all night tonight .. it's sexy .. it has some weight..and no PWM.

Changing modes was challenging ..

You had to turn it off and on again very quickly to change modes , too slow , and you stayed in low mode , or simply turned of the light .

+ the clicky was almost recessed , making good contact iffy ...

By putting in a regular reverse clicky has made it real easy to change modes ..

Im thinking about getting the AA version ...

Did we buy this light when it was available on CPF with discount?

The reseller normally has posts on CPF with discounts for CPF members, like the neutral one AA one for twentyish dollars, I forget how much exactly, but cheaper nontheless
