Should Tmart Still Have an AVOID Label? Explain Your Choice You'd Care To

Does t mart have a European warehouse? I’ve not used them yet (to be fair, I’ve only been using eBay sellers, took a gamble with a couple but generally use cyberport888 and the like. If there is a European warehouse I may gave to try them.

Good behavior should be rewarded. Louis approached BLF several months ago, striving and promising to improve and get the avoid label removed. I think TMart has lived up to their promises in product offerings, site accuracy, shipping times and after sales customer service. I've participated in two group buys and one other that was impulse. I wish all my other purchases had gone as smoothly as the ones from TMart.

I vote to remove the Avoid label. Keep up the good track record and they should get a Recommended label later.

Back in February, Tmart had a sale on 3-mode Sipik SK68 clones. I was one of the first to order, and everyone that ordered it received a 1-mode flashlight. Tmart gave me the runaround, lied to me for a while, then lied to PayPal about the transaction. Somehow Tmart was able to keep my money. PayPal was kind enough to give me a refund out of their own pocket.

That wasn't the first or last time Tmart pulled a classic bait & switch on an honest BLF member. I might order from Tmart again, but I probably won't be one of the guinea pigs. I'll let someone else order first and then report back that they actually received what they ordered. My experience with Tmart was very negative, and their customer service is the worst I've ever had to deal with. If I remember correctly, edc came up with this crossword puzzle after being burned by Tmart:

B S

A W

I I

T M A R T

N C

D H

My wound is still fresh. Tmart has my money, I got nothing. Good thing Paypal also refunded my 2nd transaction from them.

I like sherry! add her to the poll

I have seen the efforts made by Tmart and having an active representative here in the forums is a big plus. I say remove the avoid label. But I have no experience buying from Tmart so I won’t vote.

Wasn’t me but I laughed anyway. The bait and switch concerns me but I wonder if just the employees who don’t give a shite and just send whatever.

I haven’t ordered from them since they have improved their efforts. My past experience was they would advertise amazingly good prices on common budget lights. Then I ordered and they were poor quality versions of those lights.

I like that they have a presence here, but since I don’t have any recent experience with them I can’t vote, but if others feel like they should no longer have the AVOID label, I think that’s fine. If they screw up, it can always go back.

With any dealer, I think it really helps to have accurate descriptions of their products. Don’t just take the supplier’s word for it. Flashlights should be tested before they are shipped out. It only takes a few seconds. Also they need good customer service when there is a problem.

Always been a fan of tmart. Mostly because I get near instant gratification when I order some cheap stuff.

Three orders in Total. Every Skyray King I ordered was name branded and worked outstanding. Fast delivery and well protected packaging.

One order was Trustfire 3T6, a total fake. Underperformed, poor workmanship, nothing like the examples from Manafont. And this order came between my Skyray King orders. So, maybe a fluke, but still disappointing.

I love being able to order something and get it the same week. I feel that Louis and Sherry will go the extra mile to get things right if there is a mistake… That’s a big Plus to me. I haven’t had any problems with my orders, just referring to what I have read. The only thing I wish and I know it’s probably impossible is to have a bigger selection and more inventory at the US plant, It is the only one I know of and if there was everything there that’s on Tmart’s web page they would be huge and then maybe they could start stocking alot of the parts for the DIY guys and they wouldn’t have to wait so long to get parts.

Well, on 12/07 I ordered&paypal’d from Tmart a Ultrafire HD2010, today is 19/07 and still my order status is: processing.
I think I’ll wait the arrival of my light before expressing my vote here…

I have had the opportunity to order the HD2010 (discounted price) from order to delivery completion was 6 Business days. My packaged arrived, correctly addressed, in a Plastic shipping envelope and in side was the white product container (Thin cardboard) completely crushed. My thoughts were --- My long sought after light is going to be Broken/Scratched/Not in Working order. When I opened up the plastic bag out popped my light, IN PERFECT CONDITION .... No Broken Bezel, No Scratches/Dents - NOTHING - DAMN !!! However a small piece of 6-8" of bubble wrap or other protective material would have made me feel much more confident in their Shipping Depts procedures.

The FACT that Louis and Sherry are active (very active) here on BLF speaks volumes of their commitment to Superior Customer Service and to Tmarts Mission Statement

Maybe the problems other Members experienced on (many) other orders have been rectified by Louis and Sherry.

If Tmart continues to stock Quality products, at Great prices and shipping is reasonable (5-8 Business Days)

and have active representation here.

My Vote would be to change to Recommend

The "avoid" is too strong.

My HD2010 arrived all scratched up and I whined about it in my review and a couple of other places during conversation - but, did not contact Tmart about it, simply made my peace. Sherry PM'd me a couple of days ago advising I receieved an $8 credit.

Which means, she or somebody from Tmart happened to notice (read the review?) and proactively responded. Shining beacon of CS? Perhaps not but like everybody else, my order came real fast and they certainly are not running away from us.

Seeing them make an effort is no small thing.

My vote was to remove the avoid but not to recommend as of yet, maybe it can be changed to recommend at a future date. I have ordered multiple other thing from them and they have a good price on certain things and fast ship if it is USA. Contacted there customer service last night because the 15% off code sent to through email didnt work. They said that I should be receiving another email in 24 hours and hopefully that will be with the new 15% off code. I have stuff in the cart to purchase but am waiting on the working code.
Just my 2cents

I ordered the MCU on the group buy - fast shipping + great light, my dad loves it.
I just got the Z8 its a nice light w/10% off plus fast shipping again.
I voted to remove the avoid rating. I hope Tmart can keep up the great service.

This is the best point yet.

i never completed an order with tmart so i have no real personal direct experience with them. i participated in the poll nonetheless because i live in a free land. i reserve my right to remain silent and not disclose for which option i voted. feel free to guess what DD-fan me ..etc..

I haven’t purchased from them, so I can’t speak from personal experience.
I am basing the following on what has been reported by other members.
—————————————————————————————————————-
The problems experienced , seems to be no different / worse
than what goes on with another sellers that does not have the avoid label…

Mr Huang & Sherry certainly appear to be putting forth a good effort.
They deserve credit for doing so.

Unless I missed something , neither of them are making excuses
and trying to shift blame to suppliers and unskilled customer service reps.
Another rep did that very thing , just a short while ago…
(I’ll provide a link if it’s really necessary )

Making excuses is easy. Taking action to correct a problem is much more difficult.

Based on what I can see, I have to agree with Foy…
The avoid label is too strong !!

Since there appears to not be a “proceed with caution ” label.
Removing the avoid label , seems appropriate…

I voted preferred because they are actually my preferred site. I have ordered many times and they have an excellent track record with me. When I need something, I first visit their site and if it is available from the US warehouse I order, this way I know I will get it in 5 days. Of course they don’t have as great a selection as some, but I am not a collector looking for obscure lights. I just want good stuff FAST. I want everything fast, life is short and there may not be much time left
