New XM-L Light,, 26650/18650/4xAAA Good Price and 57mm head ......... NOTE: The star is solid aluminium !!!

I seem to have been first to order but mine isn’t here yet. Having said that the post from China is v…e…r…y slow at the moment. My last two orders from MF and BOB both took about a ten days more than normal.

I feel like I’ve been waiting ages, just checked its nine days…… Think I’m just itching for a new light or two.

I got my two lights today. The quality is o.k, the body at first fells thin, but I forgot it was a 26650 light. The knurling is shallow and these was some minor dents on the body but for $15 it’s value for money. The pill is not solid. The reflector is aluminium. The reflector had minor imperfections. The threads are smooth. One of the o rings was broken and some are too thin.

The beam is ringy and has PWM.

Tailcap readings.

Sanyo(4.19v) 2.60amps - 1.28amps - 0.63 the other light was giving me 3amps on high
Panasonic(4.18v) same reading as the sanyo.

Trustfire grey(4.19v) 1.77amps - 0.88amps - 0.45/ 1.96amps - 0.99amps - 0.47amps.

AW (4.17) 1.81amps - 0.85amps - 0.45amps / 2.28amps - 1.09amps - 0.52amps

Trustfire flames(4.20v –4.10v)

2.33amps - 1.16amps - 0.58amps
2.04amps - 1.02amps –0.50amps
2.11amps - 1.03amps - 0.50amps
2.27amps - 1.12amps - 0.53amps
2.30amps - 1.22amps - 0.59amps

The amps all depend on the battery and driver you get. The highrst amps reading on one was 3amps and the other one was 2.60amps. This is a good light for the price.

Cool, sounds fine to me, I was already thinking more “host” than finished product, I spend more in a night’s beer and roll ups so I can live with adding an o-ring here and there and if I really like it, how hard would a blinky eliminating driver swap be?

Think I’ll be a happy camper when my one arrives, there’s a keygos m10 with cells and charger racing it too, so it’ll be good to compare.

When you say ringy, do you mean on a white wall or noticable in general use?

Have not tried it with 4xaaa.

PWM…awww. But what kind of beam? Any wowy performance pics??

That’s good news, how2. I’m in The Smoke too so mine should be here tomorrow I guess though heaven knows how yours overtook mine.

From your comments I’m feeling that my Plan B looks favorite. Beef up the pill, drop in one of the new XP-G2’s and a 2A driver swap. My thoughts are that this will result in a little less spill but tighter beam. The new XP-G2 has a 115 degree viewing angle v the XM-L’s 125 degrees, that should be sweet in a 57mm head.

mine should be at home when i get there hopefully, or either tomorow for sure.

Hope it rocks out!!!

This is what i hate….all this waiting, and calling my wife everyday to see if it made it home.

It was in the mailbox when I got home! Looks to be about 10 days for delivery. Mine was branded UltraOk with these number under the name A105T6

Took it all apart and then put it back together, I like the way it looks and the parts. Didnt see any scratches or dings. The Silver bezel keeps the glass in and there is any o-ring (gitd) and it wasnt installed exactly correct but got it straightened out. Installed a few different batteries and they all showed it pulled about 1.9a but the batteries were not fully charged and were about 3.8v. Charging the SF blue and white protected battery for tonight.

Compared it to my L2 with the bright MF drop-in installed (granted that both batteries were about 3.8v) The Hot Spot on the UltraOk A105T6 is brighter than the MF drop-in and is smaller. The beam is ringy though inside the house. So far I think that i might really like this light. I like the size, the looks, the feel of it in my hand. Hopefully the light output will be in the catergory of awesome.

A new driver and maybe an XML U2 can be in its future.

For the price it is a nice looking light…….cannot wait to get mine, should make a nice light for work. Can you post a pic of the beam profile……so i know what to expect please.

Expect ringy

I received no AAA holder! That’s half the reason I bought it. :frowning: Sad message to seller….

Might do better with an OP reflector i am guessing…….time to put some clear coat on the reflector and see if that helps the beam profile.

Nah rings or no rings a light this big needs all throw it can get.

Yes of course your right……should not bother me a bit since darkness is thy enemy, lol.

Wow thats a nie looking light.
How is the driver board held in place? is it just a press-in component? Doesn’t look like its soldered to brass.

looks like a press in and theres a ring around it holding in
