What knife did you get today?

This is a really tiny screw. This is a fairly small knife and the 3 screws holding on the clip are very small.

[update] I finally got it off. I don’t understand why they make these so hard to get off. It’s not reversible but they’ve got to know that not everyone wants a clip.

Ultimately I tried using pliers to grab the clip and tried to rotate in an effort to move the screw. I ripped the clip off but the screw didn’t budge. I didn’t have a file small enough and ended up heating the screw again and using the original hex tool again with a lot of downward pressure and I managed to get the screw out!

It’s a nice knife and I was thinking of perhaps getting one of the other 710’s with the camouflaged handles but I think I’ll just be happy with this one now after all this work.

I received the SRM PR-603 today. It’s a nice little knife. It has handles of the same wood like material and color as the SRM 6261.

The blade and knife itself is just marginally larger than the SRM 605. The blade doesn’t have a choil so you can’t get your pinkie finger on the knife.

There is no clip (which is a plus for me since I don’t have to remove it). It has no play and opens easily. It has a liner lock. It’s quite attractive in general.

I got it on ebay (from China) and received it in about 10 days.

Got a Tk35 in today!!! Sweet light!!

Is it sharp ?

I got a credit card/paypal bill today…wah wahhh.

Cutting edge humor

Got a Ceramic blade knife from DX. Very nice! Super sharp. The one with the wood grain on the handle. Sharper than any metal knifes I’ve got.
Any opions on ceramics out there? I know they’re more brittle, but hold their sharpness longer. Looking for another one now……

Sanrenmu 681. LINK

Very pleased with it, lockback, superb little keychain knife/bottle opener 8)

SRM 681 “in action”:

It’s basically just harder steel. It’s more brittle too, over time it can get like stresss fractures. And because it’s so hard, it’s really hard to sharpen! Most knife enthusiasts tend to stick with just good old steel. But some people like it!

nice… it doesn’t look too big

I received this [Ganzo G710](http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://i.ebayimg.com/t/Ganzo-G710-Axis-Lock-Folding-Knife-440c-Blade-Waved-G10-Handle-w-Nylon-Sheath-/00/s/NjU5WDk5Mg%3D%3D/%24(KGrHqR,!hQE7Qv-Rr9CBO8cILY5og~~60_57.JPG&imgrefurl=http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ganzo-G710-Axis-Lock-Folding-Knife-440c-Blade-Waved-G10-Handle-w-Nylon-Sheath-/280789304292&h=659&w=992&sz=179&tbnid=EZGjlpKJL_8OcM:&tbnh=90&tbnw=135&zoom=1&usg=__qJ1qk1Ylk2to9WTkM-0AXgNkX2c=&docid=iAK9Tu9f5uU99M&hl=en&sa=X&ei=i0EUUJXXDImq8ASMrYD4Dg&sqi=2&ved=0CGIQ9QEwBg&dur=521) knife today. I am floored that you can get this nice of a knife for under twenty bucks.

This is my first budget knife and first axis lock though. I am probably easily impressed. Not sure it can knock out my Kershaw Blur that I have been carrying for around five years. Love it though.

I got my SRM F1723 and SRM B4T21 today. Very handsome knives, but sadly I have to remove the thumb openers to carry them legally.

Budget by way of El Salvador.

Condor Survival

Like a thick Mora with a nice leather sheath. Scandi Grind.

I received these Spyderco Native type knives.

I am very happy with the quality. It has a perfect spring, nice snap but not so much that it flies out of my hand.

Fit and finish is excellent on mine. The recessed release button makes it safe to carry but there is no annoying saftey catch.

It shaves hair.

A knife this quality usually sells for well over $16.

This knife has gone for more than $27 in the recent past….get it before EBAY figures out that it is an Automatic

I got the SP-710 for my girlfriend and the ZBT21 to be my EDC (use coupon code BLFgiveaway for 5% off!). I received them on Friday, just minutes before leaving for a camping trip!!! I immediately ran to my toolbox to loosen the blade pivot bolts (DAMN they do em up tight for customs! lol), and after that and a little graphite lube they are as smooth as butter!

One thing I’ve never had on my knives (at least to my knowledge) is the ball detent that locks the blade in the closed position, making it much harder to “flick” open than my other knives, but nice that it doesn’t open accidentally and slice your pocket all up.

I gave the SP-710 to my girlfriend and she loved it. I caught her shaving sticks down for people to roast marshmallows on, and almost screamed at her! But then I remembered it’s not one of my Spiderco’s (which she usually borrows and uses for totally inappropriate purposes), and it is HER knife after all, and only a few $$, so I let her shave away. She had lots of fun with it all weekend, and was blown away by how sharp it was (and still is! lol). She only cut herself once, when I was showing her how the frame lock worked. The frame lock was stiffer for her to move than most of my knives which are liner lock, but a little blood and a few tears later she had it down pat. She said she “really loves the sandpaper stuff on the side, easy to keep a good grip when your hands are wet or muddy!”… I went “wet? Muddy?? KNIFE?!” but then I remembered… lol.

Pics of the SP-710 after the weekend (and a good cleaning and re-lube!) :

And my ZBT21, what can I say. Absolutely mind blowing knife. Super light, easy to grip, so sharp it’s retarded. Love the glass breaker, seat belt cutter and the bottle opener! The bottle opener got LOTS of use this weekend, as nobody remembered to bring one!!! lol. I can’t believe how sharp these come from the factory!! I don’t know if it’s the ZDP189 blades on my Spiderco’s, or maybe they just don’t try and make em that sharp, but this knife blows them away. I cut up all the cardboard recycling with it, cut thick plastic straps with it, etc., still as sharp as it was out of the package!!!

Finally got my first exduct.com delivery. After clearing customs the PO took it 200+ miles in the wrong direction for 4 days before overnighting it to my town half way across the country. Still it ended up being only 2 weeks from China ship date. (All were on special; links below are to regular stock pages so they might persist longer)

For my son - Ganzo G706

For my son-in-law - SRM 939

For my pocket (if traveling light) - SRM 604

Wow, nice knives  Love the Ganzo G706, looks really cool

Love exduct.com, crazy deals and fast shipping (for china).

I love the color on the 604 so much that I got a 605 as well and swapped blades so I had a drop point with that nice green color!

The color is better than the picture, IMO. As somebody put in their review, it’s a touch more grey.

Is the drop point chisel ground, too? I might go to that trouble there was a 1/4 combo or even serrated blade. I like the look as is, but the drop point might be more useful in the long run. Sharp little gem as it is.
