LOL! and the 1 is spaced out further from the other numbers too!!!
Regarding the Turnigy AA NiMH I was testing, Im now away on a rural clincal placement and I dont have the tools to provide measurements for another 2 weeks. If I find the time, ill organise more battery tests on the few cells I took with me.
So far, Im very impressed with the cells, and the shipping isnt too bad for me.. but for cells alone, and maybe compared to other budget places, maybe not so cheap, however I do feel safe ordering from Hobbyking, which is where all my model plane stuff come from. Got the icharger from there too! There is a discount if you open the page for an item, and leave it open for at least 5 mins without closing it, for the first time for that IP address I think?
I charged the cell to 4.2v , and then discharged it for all of 53mAh , thats right , 53mAh capacity ! @ 0.5A discharge
I think I can understand why Noodles was not impressed . Im charging the cell ATM to see how much goes in , since it took so long to discharge .
Wow , @ 0.5A charge rate which never held , it started @ 0.4A and very quickly went to 0.1A but before I could even finish this post its done , charged all of 52mAh ..
Im going to toss this one , it could be dangerous , this is a very bad cell ..
Thank you Noodles ! for bringing this to our attention !
Just to check , I ran a AW through , and got 578mAh [ 2 years old and maybe some ]
And that Trustfire seems to be getting worse every time I charge / discharge it ...
Thanks old, that package got to you pretty quickly!
these cells only had a few reviews on DX ( sku11670), but I went ahead and ordered some anyway. They all perform about the same as the test cell, so they will get tossed.
I need to get a hobby charger to start profiling all the cells I have.
I got my maha c9000 today, tested some brand new maxuss aaa, claimed mah 1250. Didnt know what I was doing and only set one battery on refresh analyse. Other 3 charged.
Im charging/ discharging now at 500 mah.
results
1. 632 MAH
2. 632 MAH
3. 582 MAH
4. 618 MAH
Disappointing as claimed capacity 1250. Another dx scam.
great news got my accucell 6 in the mail, and tested it on a 12V lead acid battery i thought was dead.
it was charging on its own charger in less than an hour, and was dead in 20 mins (35watt HID was the draw)
after using the accucell 6 to drain it completely (at 1 amp) and recharge it completely, i was able to milk about 2.5 Ah out of the OLD 4.5AH battery it was
good enough for HID use now!
saved me 20 bux for the time being!
now, i shall due some serious testing with batteries, after looking at the list, i see we dont have the Old Sanyo Ni-mh, energizer ni-mh, nor powergenix Ni-zn.
so those will be my first submissions (will do on wednesday, its my day off lol)
also have the trustfire 18650 flames, 14500 and rcr123's.
can someone suggest a battery holder that may plug into the wiring provided for my charger?
but they are a bit on the long side - I need to stick a 2mm thick magnet on the end of each 18650 to get reliable contact.
If you want to balance charge you need to make up a balancing harness as well - the simplest way is to buy a balancing lead extension and cut off the female end. I 5think i got my cables from eBay but HobbyKing probably have them.
