Great light for the money. I’m very impressed with it.

I have a 1.4A xp-g in it.

Whats the output like on the EC2?

Two, 5 mode XM-L drop ins from Erik. As Gordon Sumner said, “Bring on the night, I couldn’t stand another hour of daylight”.

A new (used) watch!!

Sea-Gull 816.351.

I´m _very_ impressed with it so far.

Awesome flashlight!

I like the look of that. Are the rated lumens realistic?

If possible, could you do an outdoor beamshot please?

Cheers
Matt

The UniqueFire F12-A arrived this morning. A full review is coming but for anyone on the fence between this and the TrustFire Z8, go with the Z8.

Have got mine too. I can second that, it’s really nice looking. I just love stainless lights.

Matt it’s my most powerfull XML flashlight!

That's a good price.

Bookmarked, looking forward to your verdict.

I enjoy seeing what you folks get in the mail almost (emphasis on ‘almost’ LOL) as much as getting something myself. so much so that I failed to realize that Monday I received a Shining beam S-mini XPG that I absolutely LOVE. 360/165/9.5 Lm . Still love & EDC the Balder SE-1 but have now added the unobtrusive, ‘light in a tube’ S-mini too my EDC arsenal! Hey, 2 pockets, 2 lights (oh, & 1 around my neck).

Nice to see the low is fairly low and medium useful for a battery saving high.

Yesterday I got a Z5 clone with 1x18650 from eBay

Pros:

- Cheap

- Build quality is good (for the price)

- Has everything I love in my Z5, but in safer format & easier to mod

- Not too small, fits my hand perfectly

- KD 8x7135 V2 3040mA driver fits like a glove (=> instant mod!)

- no flashy modes (with KD driver)

- totally unnoticeable PWM (with KD driver)

- Moon-Med-High with memory (with KD driver)

- XM-L is surprisingly bright with 5mA and runs "forever" (with KD driver)

Cons:

- Driven low (about 1.5A) & bad modes (with original driver)

- Hollow pill (but with nice amount of thermal paste)

- Beam has ugly outer rings when zoomed in

=> Screams for driver change, but is very good after that

(I'll order at least one more)

I hope it’s not to late

I have that soldering station and love it to death it’s awesome and I have used quite a few high end units.

When I bought mine last year people were reporting the wires were improperly routed and the units would burn up.

It’s very important that you open up the panel on that soldering station and make sure the wires are properly routed.

These Hakko tips from KD fit perfect and are very reasonably priced. Only order one or two because they randomly ship the big cutting tips for some reason.
