How does it compare to the famous jacob?

Edit - didnt read all the. New posts. Sorry
Sorry ’bout the confusion on the reflector. Guess I just completely misread your post.
For my bowfishing, I need brightness for the light to permeate cloudy water. Runtime is definitely a bonus, but I’ll gladly change rechargeable batteries every 30 minutes for a brilliant light with a good beam and will mount to weaver mount stabilizer.
I have a good cheap light for under $25 for you.
Go and buy this one. It is still the best quality and brightest flashlight I have bought for the money. I’m tickled with it.
Fantastic! Thanks, ILF! Order placed.
IndyArcher: ILIKEFLASHLIGHTS:It’s the reflector that is plastic not the lens. It will make a good frog light. Sometimes it’s not so much how bright of light you have but how long it will stay bright is the what counts when your out wading a creek at nite in pitch darkness. I have now learned to carry my XM-L headlamp that takes 2 18650’s as a backup. It works great I might add. I had one of my lights take out on me on a creek not but aboout 2 weeks ago on a dark nite due to some cheap fake Trustfire flame batteries I had in it. Lucky for me I listened to my buddy rikr on here and had my headlamp as a backup. I would have been in big trouble had I not listened to him and being 3/4 of a mile down a creek from my car. That could be real dangerous.

You won’t regret it.
Rikr convinced me to buy that light. I’m telling you right now that light is worth $50. It probably will throw almost as good as the FandyFire STL-V6. I have that one, too.
If you don’t have the FandyFire STL-V6, put it on your to-do-list. For around $45 shipped from Deal Xtreme, it’s one bad light to have. But I will say for the money, no light I have bought yet was a better value than the Small Sun T40CS clone. It’s rikr approved. LOL!
Brad
Just make sure you run some decent good batteries in it to get the most out of it. The beam on the one I have is perfect. It’s just as good as my Sunwayman T40CS, but not quite as bright. But for the money, it’s a better value flashlight.
hey ILF do you or rikr have any IMR cells you could pop in that t40cs clone…wondering if that would raise the tailcap readings at all…i’m on the fence about it still…wish it was pulling 3a or so…would be perfect…

Trust me this light is bad to the bone as is. I know there is lot of talk about this on here and modding it. But really the light is very nice as is. It’s plenty bright for $24, and I have yet to see a better or brighter $24 XM-L thrower on here for this price.

yeah i’m not disputing that it is a great light for 24$…I just don’t want to dip into my t40cs savings for an under driven light…I know I would be sitting there with it in hand going hey this is a nice light but I wish it was driven at 3a…and that would drive me nuts lol

EagleTac 18650’s is mostly what I have. You suggest something else?

No those are good batteries.
I needed a frog gigging light
With a powerful beam of pure white
My Small Sun lets me see
Their eyes looking at me
I can get them before they take flight !
I like going gigging at night
Those frogs aren't aware of their plight
Before they can croak
I give them a poke
And I'll eat them 'til my stomach's tight

Thats the “Before” picture. Where is the “After” picture?

pounder,
I was really surprised how bright this Small Sun is, it really is hard to tell the difference when your aiming at 200feet away against some of the other better throwers.
Great buy!!!

Trust me on this one. Any light that rikr has told me to get and I didn’t until months later on I end up kicking myself for not listening to him sooner. You take a guy like rikr who has so many good flashlights and great throwers, he knows what is good when it comes around.
i like flashlights, how does that small sun clone compare with a hd 2010? i have a feeling itll be similar to the hd2010, which i have. im just trying to figure out if i should buy that small sun….
Was it the right choice to buy the small sun zy t13 xml for $24 over the small sun zy a630 xr-e? Because thats kinda what i did…
