? thanks!

Number 3. The first two links are unprotected batteries. Unless you really know what you're doing with lithium-ion rechargeables, that's a bad idea.

The flame version is often the favotire choice. I don't nor plan to get any of those. If you do be sure to get the protected ones.

At the moment im only buying Hi-max 2600mAh form ebay which are a realy value for money. Ocassionaly i can get XTAR 18700 (same thing as 18650) locally if i'm in heavy need. Also good stuff and not expensive.

Never tried solarforces and those are quite more expensive so i stayed clear... also good by reading here on BLF.

Happy choosing.

I would suggest Hi-max cells since there are fake trustfire flames floating around on the market.

I use the blue Ultrafire 2500 protected 18650 batteries from DX (http://www.dealextreme.com/p/trustfire-protected-18650-lithium-battery-2500mah-2-pack-blue-5790 ), and they are very good. I have used them in a MTE SSC P7, always on "High mode" and they are still working perfect (used as bike-light last winter). I have bought these in september 2009.

The flame 18650's are a little cheaper at DX than KD. I haven't heard of anyone getting fakes at either of these two places.

well, from what i've read, KD seems to be a little more reliable than DX. am i wrong?

i did order a pair of 14500's, a charger, and akoray k106 from DX before, and had no issues. just a long wait.

Reliability is about on par, but DX is slower in both shipping and service, plus they tend to lie a lot more and are routinely doing stuff like issuing fake paypal refunds if you open a dispute.

Recap: KD is faster and more honest at the moment.

Kd is going strong lately in shipping times. I only miss the frequent lack of communications. If he reply to my mails usually ends up a good deal for both if he does not im looking elsewhere. I wish he would take time to reply to my mails and im not really spamming him. Very few and very short. Often no reply. It seems when he feels to it does otherwise not. Who knows...

TF Black/flame for $9,80 @ LT. Bought from them a pair of TF black/flame 14500 some months ago. No prob so far.

KD's availability info is way more reliable than DX's one, usually they ship in time and the only thing unavailable was immediately updated in the product page, the new arrival page of DX is a money trap beside the long list of products claimed as in stock when for months are not.

They catch me now with the ultrafire G10...order received, many thanks for the loan ..

I placed a little order with DX earlier, had a little giggle on the check out page. It says they usually ship in 2-3 days for delivery within 14days.

That used to be more of less true, sad really.

my last order DX creamed KD..I ordered on Jan 28 from KD and sent them an email yesterday asking what date they sent it to the post office..I get a reply stating my items were packaging and would be sent out in a few days..lol it's been over 2 weeks and it's just now packaging? never again will I order KD..DX shipped mine out 2 days after they came back on the chinese new year..pretty impressive..

as for the flame trustfires..I have the 18650's and 16340's and they're all been great..would order more if need be without hesitation..

ok, sorry to bug you guys again!

but i have decided to order from manfont instead. they seem much more reputable than DX and KD.

i'm ordering two 18650 lights and need a pair of protected rechargeables.

which would you suggest...

the grey: http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/ultrafire-icr-18650-37v-2500mah-rechargeable-batteries-protected-pair-pack-p-5120

or the red: http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/ultrafire-brc-18650-37v-3000mah-rechargeable-batteries-protected-pair-pack-p-5137

will there be much difference between the two?

thanks again! i will stop asking so many questions now! :D

Avoid the reds! They can't produce decent current and are way over-rated for capacity anyway at any sensible discharge current.

I've had 6 of the Trustfire greys for a couple of years now and have no complaints.

big thanks, don!

i've been really impressed with my trustfire flames off DX..took about as long to come from DX vs manafont..DX has registered shipping..manafont it's untracked or for 2$ more you can get registered..for 9.50$, the flame trustfires are about as good as you can get for rated capacity (for cheap cells) judging from the tests on cpf..

What the difference between the above and this. Apart from the capacity and one says ICR the other say LC

Some acronyms:

ICR = lithium cobalt rechargeable
IMR = lithium manganese rechargeable
IFR = lithium ferrite rechargeable

Don't know what is LC, probably lithium cobalt.

the success website would not that stupid to make themselves into trap,but something desirable should be find.of couse,it should a quality good.
