ITP C9

Hello,

I've been looking very hard at the ITP C9 the last couple of days. I really dig this light and I'm looking to add 1 more CR123 light to my EDC stable. Battery Junction is carrying this light for $28 and it looks like the best deal going for a quality CR123 pocketable light. EDIT: Light is no longer available at Battery Junction

Al, do you still have this light and if so, what are your thoughts after owning it for over a year.

Does anyone else have a CR123 light (single cell, 92mm and smaller in length) that can compete with the C9 in this price range?

Thanks.

That page says it is out of stock and discontinued, though iTP's website still lists the light. GoingGear.com has it, but it cost more there even after the 10% discount they have available. Maybe iTP will upgrade the LED. It seemed like they were on to something with the interchangeable parts and variable mode. I wasn't crazy about the shape of those lights though.

Allow me to sugest the Romisen C6. Shiningbeam has a 2 mode upgraded version.

Formidable little light which have the added bonus of having both flood and throw.

9 cm in length.

Wow. Battery Junction must have just updated their website. The banner for the "ITP C Series" is no longer there and I was just looking at this light on their site earlier today (as recent as an 1.5 hours ago). Thanks for the headsup on goinggear. I really, really like that ITP SC1 light but that unremovable bezel up pocket/belt clip makes me not seriously consider this light.

Thanks for the Romisen C6 suggestion. I was really close to buying this light a few weeks ago, but picked up the Romisen RC-A4 single mode instead.

I love the light man......the C series can still be had over at http://www.techtoolsupply.com/searchresults.asp?cat=170 very good deal if you ask me and free shipping as well. The UI is excellent, another light that you might want to take a look at is the SC1. Whats so good about the light is that you can also get the corresponding tubes for different battery configurations.

The SC1 is on the left.......

Another light that you might also want to take a look at is the Olight T10, and get the AA tube for two batt configurations.

Thanks Al for the great info!!

No problem man......if you are to get one then i hope you enjoy it as i have.Cool

So have you decided on which light to go with.Cry

The traditional CPF answer is "buy them all". My take on it is to buy the one that looks like it is the best for you. If it isn't, then keep looking. One day the ideal will arrive.

I better make sure that my wife doesnt see your comment....lol.......

I still feel like the ITP C9 is one of the best deals going, but I have recently fallen in love with the zebralight sc50 . This light has everything I like in an EDC from a really low, low to a high, high and I love the UI on this light as well as the compact size. So though I'd be looking at $55 and change for this light, this light is really calling me and has moved to the top of my want list.

Then by all means get it man......if the light is going to be useful then it would make the top of my list as well. Right now im into small lanterns of the AA variety.

It helps being single and living alone. Just the bank to worry about.

But don't get me started on that topic. Basically, there is nothing wrong with bankers that re-education with a pointy stick wouldn't fix.

lol.......Don your always posting a funny, actually my wife doesnt mind me collecting them-------just as long as i tell her. Too her its better then me drinking or doing some other stuff thats not in my nature.
