Review: Skyray King (3xXM-L - 4x18650)

Sooo, someone made a new driver (Hi - Mid1 - Mid2 - Lo + mode memory) for this flashlight?

LOL!

Super nice work there Edoram - and welcome to BLF :-)

What do you even call such a machine?? Multi copter?

Wonderful use of both things. I am surprised it can lift the flashlight. I would love to see one of those in real life one day.

Thanks for sharing this :-)

I use a Voodoo 40mm grenade pouch, and much like JohnnyMac’s double M4 pouch, it fits perfectly.

That is absolutely hilarious!

Edoram , I have a light that would be perfect for your heli ... What would your neighbors think about this ?

Man, that copter is pimp! What a great toy!

The toy is a Mikrokopter I assemble it myself so it took me two months only to understand the assembly process and many burns on my hands and a few capacitors explosions to, it supports a lot of weight so it moves very well with the king on it, this only proves that I am still a kid. Jacktheclipper amazing what you got there, certainly it can put me in the top 10 list of UFO hunters in my country.  It is part of someting or just a flashlight?

About the temperature… :frowning:
Yesterday my king was working on hi for about 30 minutes… After I tried to switch it off - almost got a burn on my hand. It was too hot to hold for more than 1 second. Do you have the same result after 30 minutes?
or my king is too overdriven?
s. I have Fandyfire UV-S5 version.

Sorry, C-channel, far too an important question to let go unanswered! Absolutely do NOT mix different battery makes or types. All four batteries need to be the same type and model from the same maker and preferably the same batch if you can. They must be balanced and matched or else you run the risk of bad things happening.

Is there some kind of lubricant I can use between the positive contact of the batteries and the main plate?

I have used a silicone based spray lubricant applied to the driver board with a cotton bud. Its in a can like WD40, but is meant for using on spark plug leads and electrical contacts, and it seems to work well on flashlights too.

+1. Works very well for me. Put a very thin layer, it lasts for months yet doesn't seem to interfere much with electrical contact.

Thanks Johnny Mac. appreciate your answer… I was hoping that it could be used as I read that the SkyRay King operates the batteries in Parallel. Think it is time to make some new purchases…

My initial intention…

SKYRAY KING Mimic $43.90

Any volunteers?

yes, me, but manafont doesn’t ship products to my country and doesn’t acept credit card payment, and I dont have paypal…

Hmm…they say it’s a Skyray King and it sure looks authentic. If I didn’t already have one I’d go for it.

I may go for it. Does anyone have internal pic of the Skyray and the other clones to see how the leds sit and the build quality. Thiws my be just the same light internally. Manafont does not sell any poor quality light apart from the Ultrafire x1

Then again I can get the original for about $52 or is it the original. Apart from the colour what's the difference visually?
