Best deal for a dozen or so of good quality 18650s - INTERNATIONALLY

I will post the full review later today, this includes also charts with a time axis and all HI-MAX curves in the same chart (Like all my other battery reviews).

On what voltage is undervoltage protection of these cells?
žI just continued discharge of this same cell, put end voltage at 2,50V, so Ill see, fif anything happens.

I still didnt had any cell, as far as I know, with working undervoltage protection - and im ordering good, high capacity Trustfire flames.

It delivered 99 more mAh to 2,50V. (from 2,80 to 2,50V)
Im not aware of undervoltage protection kicking in… (but I didnt watched the charger whole time - if that matters…)

Can somebody help me understand this - I asked this questiuon on several other topics, still struggling with answer.

The under voltage protection is somewhere between 2.0 and 3.0 volt, you order the protection chip for the specific voltage you need. That is the theory, but for the number of chips used here, the manufacturer only have a few fixed voltages to select between.

The review is posted now.

From where are you ordering them?

I already said, Pingyi seller from ebay… http://www.ebay.com/itm/12pcs-18650-2600mAh-Protected-Li-ion-Battery-3-7V-/220944817348?pt=US_Rechargeable_Batteries&hash=item3371565cc4

Hmm… I guess I got it wrong, I meant Trustfire flames, it is ok though.

Im ordering them from kaidomain.
But still didnt found any cell with undervoltage protectiion : (and I dont want to discharg/torment them all to 2,0V just to see weather undervoltage protection is on 2,2 or something like that)

Thanks.

Second cell measured 2113mAh to 2,80V…

Im testing third cell.
COnsistently, these cedlls are nothing better than trustfire flames Im getting from kaidomain. Maybe even worse in some aspects.

Ecig, do you think these could be fakes?

No I dont think thats it. I just think that it happened what over time often happens with originally good quality products - quality drops. Unfortunately for us.

Although its little suspicious that there is nowhere “Himax” mentioned in seller’s listing, so listing cant be find if searching for “himax”.

PS: But its still a puzzle for me how HKJ gained somewhat better results than me… I dont know.
But my results couldnt be so wrong. I have Trustfire flames as reference (tested on same equipment), even if results are slightly off, they are pretty the same as results for trustfire flames.

Oh dear, I just got a batch of 12 too, better test them now.

Oh rats, I think Himax is unbuyable now. Testing first cell, discharging @ 2.5A. 0.6Ah into the test and the cell voltage is already 3.33V.

I even wanted to ask that seller what happened with their quality :o

Finished 8/12 cells. Will post results.

To think that this dude won’t budge when I tried to send him a best offer. If these are quality cells I won’t mind, but for this kind of crap? Goodness, I will file a paypal dispute.

I tried to look for the original post here who posted this deal, but to no avail. Here’s the original post!

I bought 10 Panasonic 18650s 3100mAh over at Ali Express:

http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/110511557.html

It just arrived today and delivery time was closer to three weeks. They’re all currently being charged. All came charged at 3.59v or 3.60v. Now I can’t wait for my Apex 5T6 and Big Head K8 to arrive.

edit: found the original poster!!

I got mine too. look 100% legit. Based on how long they took to charge they are genuine.
