Wait, you sand the splice? That’s awesome. Not only did have fun, but I just learned something! Thanks Jack.
I like them all, expect maybe the one in the middle that I like less due to the red-blue combination (just a matter of test).
The second from left has a tibetan monk look:

I don’t know the english word either, but it is used on (sailing) boats. It is a part of all “accastillage” (french) accessories.
In french it is a cosse-coeur (google search results)
BTW it is a great addition / idea.
" ..This is a short square knot lanyard at one of my keyrings, I started with a diamond knot and integrated this piece of metal (I don’t know the exact vacabulary). "
This is called a cable thimble here .
How long are the snakes and how much Paracord do you use?
The parasnakes are about a foot long and I use two 14' lengths of cord .
In Europe we use the metric system and I think I made a mistake by the conversion. 1 foot = 30,48cm, 2x 14’ (inch?) = 2x 35,56cm. You made a 30cm snake with only 70cm paracord?
He used two 14 foot lengths of cord.
To clarify it a bit further…
’ means feet, and
” means inches.
You would need about 4.3 meters of paracord in each color.
1 paracord snake+1 paracord snake=
Inspired by Jack and his paracord snakes I made these baby key fobs snakes.
Thank scaru and cone - now it’s clear.
^ HAHA, you’re welcome, but you got lucky since we (scaru and I) were debating big issues elsewhere. We were happy to squeeze you in. And nice minis, Essexman.

Yep, I just posted while waiting for Cone to respond. :)
I know its not ready yet, but I don’t know which knot to use as an end knot for the wrapping.
I tend to weave it into a monkeys fist of sorts. Not exactly easy but it looks nice. Failing that just a normal knot will also work.
I think that a knot at the end of the wrap might be too bulky , have you considered whipping the junction ?
Jack, that is so cool!
