Just pulled the trigger on this... I think its a good deal :-)

looks like they have all gone now!!! so who ordered!!!

Got the last one!

This place seriously hurts my wallet…. And I def did not need another light, but it just looked too nice…

cant believe how fast they went!!! apparantly its been compared to swm t20cs but with a lot better throw

I can speak openly and honestly here right?… unlike the other place (wink wink). 0:)

Going against the grain here on this one, as I do not like driver designs that automatically dim after a given amount of time. It could be 50F degrees out in a chilly winter wind, the emitter could be completely OK after 10 minutes… theres no reason to initiate any kind of mandatory thermal protection.

Furthermore with an 18650 it only draws 1.75A. Factoring in voltage sag down to ~3.9V thats equal to 1.75A x 3.9V = 6.8Watts power draw.

Assuming an 80% efficient driver (which is very typical for a well thought out design) that equals .80 x 6.8W = 5.44Watts to the XML

Assuming Vf ~ 3.3V:
5.44W / 3.3V = 1.65A to the XML

Thinking openly (again) that hardly seems like enough current and power delivery to mandate some kind of auto-dimming feature….? Looks like a well made host, it should be OK running free without thermal protection.

i think more and more lights are adopting this step down thing… i know my m3x triton does it after 5 minutes and this light iv ordered after ten or so, yeah its prob not needed outside when there are the weather cooling factors, but all you have to do is click off and back on again as i presume most are a timed step down??

mine has been dispatched  so does anyone know how long it should take from us to uk in the mail then??!!

Mine too. :) But the item was shipped from HK -> normal registered HK airmail (faster than DX etc. low priority airmail)

The answer to your question is either "Too long" or "Painfully long".

oh well looks like im in for a wait then  at least a trustfire mini 01 turned up this morning to entertain me for at least today :)

Hope HMRC (customs) don’t get their greasy hands on it. Probably better for it to ship from HK than the US with that in mind. Think things from US take a week to ten days - less than from China.

yeah me too!! cant wait….
reviews seem to suggest its a pretty decent light

Amazing price for the light. Kind wish I also got in on the deal.

Here’s another review on CPF

I like!

yeah iv seen that review…. seems like four of us have got away with a bargain

so anyone recieved theirs yet?? hoping mine will be here next week sometime

Cracker of a deal.I did see it and went for the one below to avoid waiting, i needed a light fix quick.

Looks like my skyray 3xt6-818,but yours is a better alround deal.

Thought this was a fair deal and would take ya mind of waiting for a bit

DON…

Got it today! Very nice light for the price. Thanks again for the heads up adyscarborough! :)

Got mine today too!

As said in the reviews, a great compact thrower with good spill, like it a lot!

That its well made and comes with a really good holster is just icing on the cake…

Thx from me too!

Looks like a great light. It's size of reminds me of this . . .

$52

Interesting too; my VG20 pulls a similar 1.73 amps at the tail and has a 3-mode UI with hidden strobe as well. Not a head-twisty, though; mode change happens on low, flash after 3 seconds then turn off and back on. It doesn't have any step-down protection or whatever, although it will warn for low voltage/dropping from regulation.

Sorry, just made me thing of this light.

just recieved mine  looks a real nice light. iv put some pictures in a new thread along with my ke-5
