very budget thrower (300 meters + distance) for under $50

Here’s what I would do since I have both. I would buy the FandyFire STL-V6 first. It’s right at about 48 to 50Kcd. Deal Xtreme is where I bought mine for $45 and change. Then I would buy the Small Sun ZY-T13 from Manafont for $24 shipped. If it were me, I would buy 2. You will like it that much. You can’t beat that light for the money in XM-L flashlights. The beam is perfect and I do mean perfect. I love my 2. I would guess this light to be around 40-42Kcd.

So what I need to do is find a used ZY-T13, put in a 5700k U2 and a 3.5amp 7135 driver with four 2/3A NiMH high discharge rate batteries in it, right?

How much room is there for a heat sink?

Looking for the next project already, eh? The “shower head” isn’t done yet…it may get jealous of new competition in the shop!

Stanley Fatmax

why not save 2$ and buy the skyray stl-v2? they’re the same light…and the cheaper one doesn’t say fandyfire on it…lol

So it’s official? The furthest throwing budget light out there today, under $50 is the FandyFire STL-V6?

+1 SkyRay STL-V2 and a Jacob A60 and have the best of both!!!

Yep.

I would buy it from Deal Xtreme.

That other link for the SkyRay STL-V2 I know nothing about them.

The FandyFire STL-V6 is one bad thrower for less than $50. There’s none that will beat it that I know of for the money. It’s just a little shy in the throw department of the better quality throwers like the Olight SR51, Sunwayman T40CS, Olight M3X, and Crelant 7G5, all of which I do have.

Has it been determined that the FandyFire STL-V6 is a more powerful thrower than the HD2010?

This or that big assed halogen ilf has, or any of the plethora of 1M candle power huge reflector spot lights.

Their all basically a h4 bulb, 7+” reflector, 12v battery pack and a shoulder strap lol.

I’m thinking of fitting mine with a 14.8v li po pack, and before someone says it’ll blow the bulb, stick your multimeter on your cars battery terminals….

mags,

If you want to see my best single XM-L thrower if your intersted, you can read this.

My EagleTac M3C4 with the new updated driver will even beat my Crelant 7G5. And that is hard to do.

FWIW, earlier this morning I was comparing my T13 to the HD2010 with some white walling. My T13 has a hotspot 2/3 to 1/2 the size of my HD2010 and it's brighter, too! Still haven't had time to do full draw rests or lux and IS testing but will later this week.

If anyone has both of these it would be interesting to hear the feedback.

Johnny, Is that with stock driver in the T13?

-Garry

Both stock. 26650 in the hd2010.

Johnny, your not doing a good job of convincing me not to buy that smallsun…. :expressionless:

Yep, very poor job. I sense I'll be $25 poorer quite soon.

I don't know about you all, but I need beamshots!

-Garry

+1. Of course I want them too.

Yeah, just nail the lid on my wallets coffin, I dare you! :stuck_out_tongue:
