Is there some kind of lubricant I can use between the positive contact of the batteries and the main plate?

I have used a silicone based spray lubricant applied to the driver board with a cotton bud. +1. Works very well for me. Put a very thin layer, it lasts for months yet doesn't seem to interfere much with electrical contact.

Wow. That’s a really nice use for this giant mini floodlight. I gotta say. I finally pull the trigger n ordered a set from Kaidomain. Just a question guys. Is it ok to mix 2 kinds of unprotected batteries? 2600 mAh Sony x 2 and 2600 mAh Samsung x 2? Thanks…

Sorry, C-channel, far too an important question to let go unanswered! Absolutely do NOT mix different battery makes or types. All four batteries need to be the same type and model from the same maker and preferably the same batch if you can. They must be balanced and matched or else you run the risk of bad things happening.

Thanks Johnny Mac. appreciate your answer… I was hoping that it could be used as I read that the SkyRay King operates the batteries in Parallel. Think it is time to make some new purchases…

Hmm…they say it’s a Skyray King and it sure looks authentic. If I didn’t already have one I’d go for it.

I may go for it. Does anyone have internal pic of the Skyray and the other clones to see how the leds sit and the build quality. Thiws my be just the same light internally. Manafont does not sell any poor quality light apart from the Ultrafire x1

I got a set from KD when they have the offer and I believe I got the MIMIC set.
The set that i got was exactly the same as what manafont is selling as mimic copy.

1. Sky Ray logo different from original and is smaller.
2. Lanyard is different from original and is dark brown with lower quality
3. Driver board is different with rough edges.
4. Spring end is different. rattling sound even with 4 battery inserted and screwed tight.

I do not have an original copy to compare the performance…

All these photos of original are compared with the reviews posted in BLF.

Edit: I might be wrong about it.

If you read through the comments you’d see that no one has both the mimic and the original SR king. We can’t definitively say which one is better until someone can compare one with the other directly.

Is the one sold at CNQG (CNqualityGoods) original Sky Ray King? I do not see a Sky Ray king logo onto the torch? Is this reliable to buy it from there? I checked with Manafont and they only have the NW, but its the original Sky Ray King.
