KEYGOS M10 26650 FLASHLIGHT-Quick and dirty review

+1, possibly one of the best all round lights around. Compact and versatile, well made, looks and feels great in the hand, works well. Good balance of throw and spill.

I too recommend the kit with the orange Keygos 26650 cells and charger. There may be better cells, but that is a great package for the $ and I find them more than up to the task.

@d-ech,

Welcome to BLF!

On yr memory question, my M10 does not hv memory but it DOES always start on HIGH which is very useful because it means that you can always get to any of the 3 brightness levels without ever seeing the blinking modes

Get the m10 - you won’t be disappointed - it’s my favourite xm-l light (I have 5), great beam, good threading, perfect size, versatile battery - 18650, 25500 and 26650

Welcome to your new home, d_ech!

I believe my M10 came with a U2 led (see my post above).

In any case, I have just ordered another M10 from the same seller - “cyberport888” - even though the seller referred by astodut (“devicetwo”) is selling at 20% cheaper - in the hope of getting another U2-led M10. Before buying, I tried to confirm it with the seller but he had difficulty understanding my query so I decided to just take the risk and hope I get another from the same batch.

I just received yesterday the 2X18650 parallel headlamp from ebay advertised as XML T6. When I took it apart, the star has XML-U2 on it. Maybe the Chinese makers are running out of T6 LEDs and naturally progressing to U2s. Maybe its just printed on the star and is a T6.

Does anyone know how to tell for sure?

If you have an accurate Lux meter, something like an integrating sphere, and an actual Cree XM-L U2 bin, then you could do tests to see if the outputs are similar at certain drive currents.

if not, then you can’t tell.

I’ve got one of the M10s coming in. If it’s really good, I might keep it as is.

The Keygos M10 is about as bright as my C8, about the same price, but the build quality is much better. Throw is about the same and costs about the same. Takes the 26650 so longer run times. Here is a link to the light direct from Keygos.

I also have on order the KE-303, includes intregral charger, and home and car power supplies, no need to remove the battery.

Got an m10 today ….
!!

So Im just about to dip me toes in the murky waters of 26650s, and was wondering if anyone out there owns and a Keygos M10 and a Intl Outdoor’s Cyclone c88???

Am interested to know how these two flashlights comepare.
I have narrowed selection down to these flashlights. The HD 2010 has just been scratched due to throw not being my primary concern.

My 2nd M10 arrived today. This one only stated “XML” instead of “XML-U2” on the star (see post #134 above). Unfortunately, I couldn’t compare the 2 side-by-side because the switch on the newer one was defective. Found out when I swapped tail-caps and it worked.

Guys can the M10 fit a 18650 cell with an adaptor?

I comes with the required adapter

Thanks for your reply buddy!
Guess buying it from keygos website is my best bet.

I just looked it is 19.99 at their site. I paid 20 something on ebay. It is a very nice light.

BTW if a manufacturer has retailers selling their products, buying direct from the manufacturer will usually mean you are paying full list price. The manufacturer will not want to undercut their retailers. For some reason this time they are discounting it at 19.99. Maybe they are discontinuing it?

I got the Ultrafire version from MF some time ago and it did not come with the adapter, but a 18650 will fit in and work fine, BTDT.

Thanks all can’t beat it at 19.99

I considered buying this light, but then I decided that I didn’t want a gross lie laser etched into the body

I ordered a Keygos M10 XM-L T6 directly from their web site on special for $19.99. It arrived in about 2 weeks. When I took it apart I discovered that the pill was just hanging loose. It screws into place easily enough. Good thing I decided to check before I ran it on high power for a long time. Good thrower. There is a little sharp burr on one edge of the knurled portion in the middle of the light, but other than that looks well made for the price.

I’m just adding this mod link here, making it easier for people who search the light.

Details of how easy it is to add a 17mm driver and new emitter to this light.

Finally found it, anybody has other input on the M10 vs M10a?

Just run it through translator.google.com as it’s in german.
Keygos M10 vs M10a.

M10a seems to have deeper reflector and an U2 where is M10 has shallower reflector and an T6.

There are some internal dimensions as well and stuff, overall quite detailed, pictures seem to be hidden behind registration. Might get them out for you.

Beamshots, reflector comparison, U2 printed MCPCB, and more.
