They work fine in mine, but the length is "on the limit" (= tight) => manufacturing tolerances may cause them to be just too long causing tailcap lock out.
Short update: Bought 4 x NiMH C and noticed that 4C configuration with NiMHs is not good, since based on the voltage the light thinks its using 2x26650 and triggers the higher low voltage warning too soon.
=> Recommended configurations are:
- 3 x SubC with one extension tube
- 3 x C + dummy C with two extension tubes
Ps. I need to add that the new flat bezel felt really good in my jacket pocket. No worries about it ripping the pocket or anything. :) [The crenelated bezel has quite sharp edges!]
on this light yesterday. I ordered it from Outdoor International. They said it will arrive in about 12 business days. I haven’t ordered anything from these folks before so I hope that it goes well.
I like the side switch and the ramping mode. The extension tube gives it some versatility too. I might wait until it arrives before I get some 26650 cells for it. Some of these lights are built too short for protected cells. I can use some 18650s that I have here until the 26650s arrive.
I picked up this light at the post office last Tuesday, October 30. It’s a well made light with a nice UI. I like the size of the light in my hand. It fits me. It has plenty of throw for the head size.
I’m running a pair of matched Panasonic cells since I bought two 18650 sleeves with the light. They are unprotected and seem to fit into the light well. Protected cells might not fit.
Now I’m looking for a red filter ad a holster to go with this light.
