Review: Skyray King (3xXM-L - 4x18650)

I may go for it. Does anyone have internal pic of the Skyray and the other clones to see how the leds sit and the build quality. Thiws my be just the same light internally. Manafont does not sell any poor quality light apart from the Ultrafire x1

Then again I can get the original for about $52 or is it the original. Apart from the colour what's the difference visually?

How many Skyray kings are there? The mimic

Sky King getting cheap and my dream will become true soon

I got a set from KD when they have the offer and I believe I got the MIMIC set.
The set that i got was exactly the same as what manafont is selling as mimic copy.

1. Sky Ray logo different from original and is smaller.
2. Lanyard is different from original and is dark brown with lower quality
3. Driver board is different with rough edges.
4. Spring end is different. rattling sound even with 4 battery inserted and screwed tight.

I do not have an original copy to compare the performance…

All these photos of original are compared with the reviews posted in BLF.

Edit: I might be wrong about it.

That’s too bad :frowning:
Can you use someone as a middleman?

C-channel can you post some pics please.

Oh! And beamshots too! * *

So what was the verdict with the “mimics”. Are they as good, same or different?

If you read through the comments you’d see that no one has both the mimic and the original SR king. We can’t definitively say which one is better until someone can compare one with the other directly.

Great review! I might be getting one of these, but I personally do not like the color.

Thanks!

Thanks.

You can always buy it in black from Ric. :)

I just got in my SRK neutral white from Lightmalls and put it on my LED analyzer/sphere. Results posted here: Review: SkyRay King - yet another review

Is the one sold at CNQG (CNqualityGoods) original Sky Ray King? I do not see a Sky Ray king logo onto the torch? Is this reliable to buy it from there? I checked with Manafont and they only have the NW, but its the original Sky Ray King.

“T6” is a brightness bin, not a tint. A NW Sky Ray King would typically have CREE “T6 3C” XM-L emitters, where “3C” is the tint bin (a designation which relates to colour temperature). When you don’t see a tint bin listed (just “T6” for example), it’s almost always some sort of cool white tint. The ones at Manafont are CW, not NW. The black SRK at CNQG uses U2 1B emitters (where U2 is the brightness bin (slightly brighter than a T6) and 1B is the tint, which is in the CW spectrum).

See the Chromaticity chart (as well as more info on brightness bins) here: Cree - Flashlight Wiki

I’ll let someone else chime in on the quality of the Black SRK from CNQG as I don’t have one. It’s not an original, but that doesn’t necessarily equate to inferior in the budget flashlight arena. In fact sometimes it’s the opposite.

Oh, and welcome to the forum plurkstar!

hm, i looked for the Sky Ray King and i found many light´s. I looked at manafont and saw there are 2 SKYRAY King´s. the one for 43,75$ an d one for 54,80$.
I asked at the live support and the Lady told me, that this is the same Light.
Is this true? why is the one 10$ cheaper?
Has someone in these Forum the Torch and know what is the different beetween the 2 Lights.
thx 4 answer

Hi Cainn, Thank you for the clarification…

I have checked with Ella from Manafont. She claimed its the NW version they are selling…So, I ask her to confirm again with her dealer. She replied me and said she confirmed with her dealer and its the NW version.

I just purchased today with free shipping from Manafont for $54.80. CNqualityGoods with their shipping cost me around $61.00

Got my SRK from Manafont today. Totally worth it!

Very likely you’re going to be disappointed.

Why will that be?

I do not mind if its the CW they are selling…
