Cool. I'd hate to see you suffer alone so I'll see if I can't order one when i get home from work. I could have sworn my Paypal account called my cell phone and said "use me."
First post here (Hi all!). I had to order one. I'd been looking at the Z1 for a few weeks and then I see one with an XM-L @ supposedly 2.5A! What was a guy supposed to do? Hopefully I'll forget all about it and then be pleasantly surprised in a month.
IMO it would be the looks but that's just me. The Z1 looks so much better but the M6 probably throws a lot farther and dissipates heat much better due to the huge head.
Aloha jb1, I'm just going from what I can see in the pics. I don't know anything at all about the inner electronics part of them lights but I'm pretty sure someone around here does and will give a better and more technically detailed answer.
jb1 - Yup, the Yezl Z1 is very similar in size to the trustfire tr-801. A very compact 18650 light.
The one you mentioned will be closer in size to the KD c8 xml, with a much bigger reflector, head and overall size
Here is my Z1 in my hand for a size reference. I'd consider my hands average size lol. So the light is very pocketable and compact for a higher output 18650:)
mizjif, thanks for the pic and the description. I'm leaning towards the M6 now. Until I start receiving some of these flashlights I have ordered, I have no point of reference for actual size and more importantly, beamshots. Crap these things take forever to get to the U.S. LOL
It used to bother me quite a bit also but after a while and since there's really nothing I can do about it anyway, I just try and forget about it. And when it finally shows up in the mail (usually after several weeks) it feels like I got an early christmas or birthday present.
Once I get a couple in to start goofing around with, the wait on the rest won't seem so bad. Of all the hobbies I could have picked - flashlights on a slow boat from Hong Kong. I need another hobby to occupy me in the meantime. LOL
+postage does seem a bit much, but what a cool light! I wonder how much shipping is to the US? Stop talking about this thing guys... Im starting to want one!
Now that's an expensive hobby. I would know because I had over 20 guns and rifles in Alaska and I was always broke. Buying bullets for target practice got pretty expensive but shooting guns was pure fun for me. Except when doing it during the winter of course.
It was less than $5. So, total was $34 and some change. C'mon....get one. You know you want one....and somewhere deep down you know you actually need one! Your little inner "flashpilot" is clenched by fits of despair, knowing that out there...somewhere...is a Yezl Z1 - a light that will complete you, and satiate the dark inner desires and silence the wicked whisperings of your soul...
AAAARRRRRWOOOOOOO!!!!
Whoa..not sure what that was all about...time to quit reading so much before bed!
