Your government doesn’t trust you with a Jester? What a bunch of jokers! What kind of clown made that a law? Bunch of comedians over there I guess.

Yeah it’s a joke alright

Speedsix, any locker is considered a fixed blade knife in UK case law due to an over enthusiastic badly informed lawyer, now, we’re not allowed to edc lock knives. Technically, my folding Stanley knife is illegal :~

I was over there for a couple of weeks and I carried a large lock back knife. I also had a can of mace. Almost had to use it twice. Birmingham was a lot rougher than I expected. I’ve been to some of the worst cities in the USA (Chicago, Detriot, Baltimore, New Orleans, Saint Louis, DC, ect) and I have never felt as threatened as in the UK.

Yeah, there are areas like that, but then there are other places that just blow away any other part of the world for peace and quiet and friendliness.

Yes some places have very odd laws indeed.

Your government doesn’t trust you with kinder eggs, you are missing out on such a treat. But they have a toy inside and thery are worried you may eat it, so they are banned in the US. Such a shame, as my kids eat the egg I get to build the toy for them, great fun.

OP - sorry to go off topic, good luck with your sale.

That was definitely worth going off topic for  I didn’t realise Kinder eggs were illegal in some places

Matt

I have to agree with you there, however the constitution doesn't say "You have the right to Kinder Eggs" so they made them illegal, however they can't just do that with guns. Kinder Eggs are good though. :)

I miss the real toys they used to have inside, like the cars that came with little gears cogs that you built yourself.

Kinder surprise FTW! I’ll smuggle some across the border and sell them to the Americans for inflated pricing. At least if I got caught and went to prison, it would be hilarious.

You don’t want to risk it - “On January 10, 2011, it was reported that a Kinder egg was seized from a woman’s car during a random inspection while entering the United States from Canada. She was informed that bringing the egg into the United States could result in a $300 fine. Seizures such as that one, and even the prohibition of the product itself, have been cited on political blogs and web forums as an example of an overzealous application of law and an intrusion upon personal liberty”

Back to the sale - Have you considered trying to sell on britishblades.com? If you are a new member you would have to cough up subs (I think it’s a tenner now) before being able to sell, or make 100 posts.

I saw the 100 post thing on British blades, and decided not to join. Didn’t hear about paying subs though, so might have a look again.
