What’s your thoughts of it?
Well my thoughts are that it’s big, bright and has adequate fins to cool it at 9 amps.
I’ll test out everything in it’s stock 6.5 amp form while I wait for everything else to arrive, then after I mod it I’ll test it again.

Its terrible light. Its smaller than i had hoped , has a rattle can finish, and the only mode is beacon mode…

What’s a rattle can finish? When you say beacon mode is the only mode, you mean that every few seconds is flashes?
And saying ‘X6 is the bomb’ means that the x6 is good. I am confused as to what you are trying to say.

I have had the X6 for eighteen months now and still love it. It is very bright, throws great and has great flood too. The build quality is outstanding and the metal-work is the best I have seen - even compared with the SureFire UB3T! Saying that would probably be considered sacrilege over on CPF where anything **Fire other than SureFire seems to be regarded as outright junk. No doubt this USED to be somewhat true and maybe still is in some cases, but not with the X6. The X6 is a great light and it is NOT a copy of some other light.
It would be good to see more TrustFire lights of the X6 quality. I don’t think the X100 is in that league.
It is also worth looking at the reviews of the X6 on DX where there did appear to be some early problems (now long overcome) and the review by FX-32 here. Also, for those who may not know, a spare parts set can be had from Manafont and DX has spare reflectors and switches.

There is a discussion about whether it really is a good idea. I potted mine with heatsink compound and it still kicks down after 2-3 minutes on high. I personally am fine with it as this light does not need to be used on high constantly.

X6 is a instant favorite. And if someone says “its the bomb” Means they like it
The X6 is a copy of the Ml3T -minus the oversize heat sink.
I have both i can post a pic soon if you like. The finish is very good, i wouldnt
go as far as saying its as good as a SF…just my 2 cc’s
If anyone is planning this mod make sure to pot the driver with thermal paste. With doing that I get around 3 minutes on high before it steps down.
Have you modded yours with the single mode yet?
I bought mine from Rey @ Aliexpress and for $1.50 you get a spare lens, o’rings and switch. Mine was $89.90 shipped DHL and I got it in 2 days!!! He also did an excellent job packing it. Rey is very quick on shipping your orders also…
Mine is worse. I am going to control mine with knives….too many as well.
