Excellent shots, Don. Looks like Eastward J06 and Manafont XM-L droppin are the winers, a lot of light :O
Combined, they don't make as many lumens as the Varapower. But throw a bit better.
Nice pics Don. I wanted to try out that mouse in/out function for a long time on the 2 XML dropins.

wow after seeing the beamshots the kd looks depressing vs that manafont..Don what is your kd drawing on high? I know your manafont is 3.4a..just asking because my kd is drawing 3.2~3.3a with the cell I have in it..just wondering if they're drawing the same where the difference would be coming from? efficiency?
Vectrex, that's a really cool feature. I opened up 3 windows and looked at the 2 XM-Ls and the Varapower. Old school. LOL
After seeing this I had to double check and see whether I ordered from KD or MF.
Whew! Manafont it was. 
Yeah, but not price vs. power :p XML will be my next light for sure $)
BTW, Vectrex, very cool hover feature :O I think this is the best way to compare two images.
And it is built-in on BLF ... the third tab on the picture symbol (tree)... so it is even easier than animated GIFs... which can be annoying sometimes.
Little how-to: insert the picture (pic1) as you would normally (with "100 %"-trick ) after that -> picture symbol (tree) -> Advanced ( third tab) -> Swap image -> Alternative image for mouse over (pic2) -> for mouse out (pic1)
Downside is that only 2 images can be compared this way.

Didn't know that one. Certainly beats animated GIFs which can get annoying quickly.
I also have the KD dropin but I am glad that I didn't buy the Manafont dropin. The KD dropin drains the battery fast enough and I hope that it lasts longer with less heat... Manafont dropin is good for 1-2 minutes wow-factor. I would like to see a non-P60 1&2x18650 flashlight (with cooling fins) driven like the Manafonts.

The ones I left at home were the ones I couldn't find or didn't work. And all the supermarket plastic 2D ones.

Roe Deer stag. They are about the same size as the assistant and she wanted to play with them. They could run a LOT faster than her. He was accompanied by his harem of four does.

Didn't see any deer this visit, it has been a very unusually hard winter and I suspect that most of the local population have died. They are quite common, even in urban areas but are often very hard to see. There are roe deer living in the hospital grounds that I work but I have only seen them when I've been working through the night - the earliest I've seen them was 2am.
And you may just recognise this one.
In the week I was there, the squirrels consumed about 20kg of groundnuts. Watching a squirrel at a bird feeder is hilarious.
Even the assistant enjoyed watching them - and she probably can't see out of her left eye (She's ten years old and has a very bad cataract in her left eye). Here she is raptly watching the squirrels.
She is a beautiful giant schnauzer. Until she was five years old she was a show dog and has prizes from big shows, including Crufts. Now she's a full-time mutt. Who wants to empty herself roughly every two hours at night.

Also I am a little happier now that I read it because I am waiting four MF XML dropins and in your pictures it looks much better than the KD one (which probably is my best p60 dropin until now).
I wonder if you got a really good one from Manafont or a bad one from KD? Some people have been saying they weren't impressed with the KD light, but I have the Manafont and KD both and they both seem really bright, though I might give the edge to the Manafont. Plus the Manafont skips the flashy modes. Maybe I'll do some comparison shots. Not that it would necessarily be of much use to new buyers since they have changed the board on the KD T6 since I got it.
