New EDC 18650, the first flashlight using the new CREE XP-G2 LED @ Intl-outdoor.com

It fits. 20mm TIR lens that is with room to spare. I don't have anything to measure right now but I'd say its the same size as the stock reflector. The inside lip of the bezel helps center the TIR lens with the stock glass lens removed.

How does the memory work? Will a solarforce clip fit it?

Anyone? Is there anyway to get one without memory?

Memory on these drivers should settle about 2 sec after you chose the desired mode. No memory.. yeah, if you build it yourself (empty host from CNQG, any emitter and a KD V2 driver).

Where’s the cheapest I could get an xp g2?

Received yesterday the new EDC with XP-G2 emitter.

Was very curious to see this new emitter and have to admit it's impressive for its size.

At 1,4A is not nearly driven to its full capability, but nonetheless the output is great and the colour is a very natural pure white, I like it!

In this very small application, with a small reflector, it gives a very wide hotspot, definitely biased to flood for short distance usage.

Now I want to see XP-G2 on larger reflectored flashlight, tuned for throw!!

Can anyone recommend a holster for this light?

I’ve looked quite a bit, but none seem to be a close fit.

Mine turned up yesterday. Very nice, and very impressed with the kit packaging, going to try and get it built up tonight. 8)

I'm using this: http://www.manafont.com/product_info.php/terminator-yrg-industries-nylon-holster-for-flashlight-p-7113

It does ok, little tight as the reviewers say because the material is so strong, but the light fits fine.

Any BLF discount on this light?

I can't tell from the photo. Is there Fujik or some other thermal compound between the star and the pill?

Yes there is thermal paste under the star.

I just switched the driver to a KD v2, 3.05A driver. Low - Med - High with memory. I'm using the 2.5A driver that came with it to power another light. It was very easy and quick 10min job. I'm not sure if my eyes are playing tricks on me but it looks considerably brighter. Might be that it was dark outside...

Thanks again BIGWOOD!

It will fit but light won't work with it, tailcap doesn't make contact with clip

You can modify tailcap little bit to make it work. Adding spacer to where body's end should make contact.

EDIT:Piece of paper clip did the job... not nicest fix but works.

And picture with SolarForce clip.

Hi guys,

Anyone knows what’s the estimated OTF lumens for Low mode (5%) for this light with the 1.4A driver board on a XP-G2 R5 LED?

TIA!

It should draw around 70 ma and be around 30 lumens.

Thanks a lot!
I guess 30 lumens is emitter lumen since 70mA is 5% of 1400mA.
I’m still deciding whether to pop a KD 7135 V2 driver into this light or not? Would prefer a lower low but I read that the KD 7135 V2 driver low is extremely low ~0.7 lumen.
I hardly used 0.2 lumen on my Zebralight SC51. Most of the time I used the 2.5 lumen.

Yeah, emitter lumens (actually it was around 29) so probably around 15-20 OTF.

This is one of my favorite this about this site, you get to pick what you want a lot of the times.

Will this light run on 2 CR123A batteries? And how about 2 RCR123A batteries?
