6 Xm-l light bar build

wow, that’s one serious chunk of aluminium. How long does each one take to machine? Looks like the fins go down a long long way! Nice touch with the cable entry and sealing, looks like some thought went into that.

What’s the second piece of alu that goes under the face plate - is it to help retain/align the optics?

That looks awesome! :open_mouth: I think this will turn out to be my xmas present to myself. I have wanted some fog/driving/off highway lights for a while and this should fit perfectly and check off almost every box on the list of requirements.

Around 30-40 minutes of just machine time, not including band sawing, deburring, blasting etc.

The second piece is the optic holder.

nice

I got the first one from anodize today. It looks freaking amazing! I then dropped off the first batch of 32 at anodize also. After anodize I will drop them off to be laser engraved.

I am still looking at a few more weeks before they are ready for sale.

Wow! That’s a beauty, I would almost feel a shame to mount that peace of art on my car.

Here are what the standard mounting brackets will look like. The production ones will be 304ss. I will offer flat and tube weld on tabs also.

Soo nice!

Please, just to summarize the spec, would you explain how the bar will be wired and switched? Levels? Two separate switches one for on/off the other for modes, or all by one pushbutton?

Thanks

Single momentary ground switch. Push once for low, push again for high, again back to low. Hold for off. With light off, hold for strobe, then hold again for off(1 second).

Thanks! Clear and simple

I got the first one put together. I am testing it now just to make sure everything is perfect. I will start assembling them tomorrow and hopefully have some ready to sell at the beginning of the week. I am still waiting on the SS L brackets from laser. I will plasma out the tube and flat weld on tabs for now.

I will try and get some beam shots this weekend of the different combos.

I am also trying to finish my website. To much stuff to do.

Looks Awesome! Laser Marking came out nice!

“Made in USA” - that’s quite refreshing to see! :stuck_out_tongue:

Water testing, fully submerged.

Looks awesome, the engraving really makes it shine.

What’s the plan, are you going to try to make a business and offer these for the foreseeable future? Or do you have a fixed batch you’re making and when you’re out there will be no more?

I plan on making these my #1 product and continue selling them until the next new and better technology comes out. I would like to make more triples also.

OK, nice to hear. I really would like to have one of these in the front of my car but my financial state at the moment prohibits me from buying one…

Good luck with the business, it looks promising!

I went of last night and got some beam shots. Sorry the pics are not the best.

All pics where taken with a Canon T3i with the following settings:
White balance: Daylight, F4.0, ISO100, 6 second shutter.

The trees just behind the right/center power poll is approximately 250-275 Yards.

1 light combo (4spot,2elliptical)

2 lights combo(10,200 lumens)

1 Light spot, 1 light combo

1 light spot

2 lights spot

2 lights spot. Trees are approximately 90 yards

2 of these little light are phenomenal.

Can the unit be set to just come on, on high or a preset level. Ie linked to high beam and just control by switching the power via relay?

Yes, I can do that with a reprogram. That will be a extra option. I have had several people ask the same thing. If I have a enough demand I will not charge a reprogram fee. I still need to program a light and make sure that option works good.
