14500 TF Flames from DX

Anyone know if the current ones from DX are genuine?

Afraid I don’t. I have however bought some xxxfire branded 14500’s off ebay twice. They have both confirmed that from now on I’ll only buy decent batteries from decent sellers.

If you only need one or two 14500’s I’d recommend LedFire Torches. Really fast delivery (1 or 2 days whenever I’ve ordered from them), really good customer service and discount to CPF memebers (CPF8).

AW 14500’s are under £9 each. For just a couple I can’t see the point waiting a month for some dodgy ones from China that’ll probably only have 25% the capacity.

I’ve been using these for the last few months.

I use them for 1-2 hour night hikes, and recently started using them for night cycling too. They’re being used in a Xeno e03 and Trustfire Z2. Based on the voltage at the end of my hikes and rides, I haven’t had any reason to question the authenticity. I have a reserveation to upgrade to higher quality 14500’s though…and I can’t remember what my justification was.

Thanks - I’ve got $4 credit at DX so if the TF 14500s are OK, I’ll go for them from there rather than anywhere else.

I've had good luck buying those from DX in the past but admittedly it's been a while. I still wouldn't hesitate to give it a shot again. Just don't buy them from BIC.

There's great stuff from China, but you need a good source and maybe not TFs.

I’ve been happy with my trustfire 14500 also.
