6 Xm-l light bar build

Basically the same but different pinouts on the micro. BLM designer will work if you want to play with your own settings. I have my “own” BLM designer for this light. It uses different firmware.

Interesting, now I just need to find something to mount one of these on. ;)

How about your noggin? Just add a head band and go crazy…

Just weighed a light. Only 2.8lbs.

Did you finalize the price?

I’ve already posted a link to this on “difflock” a UK 4 x 4 forum. Not much interest yet, but I definitely want one next year.

$300 for one, $575 for two and $825 for three for the first 60 lights as A introductory price. After that they will be $325 for one $600 for two, $900 for three.

Got bored last night. Overkill?

I think the word Overkill is banned on this forum.

Looks about right to me

Final bracket options and wiring. Weld on tabs are mild steel and the L bracket is 304 Stainless.

Must Polish until Bright And Shiny

I guess you could if you really wanted. That is to much work for me. I am not into “shinny”.

Wow, a little offtopic, but I see a very nice crawler there!

Axial AX10 axles, beef tobs, XR10 "C" and VP knuckles, VP alloy wheels and Sedona tires.

Curious about chassis and powerplant then!

Are you into competition also?

Good eyes,

Vanquish chassis, Traxxas bigbore shocks, Mini-t springs, Titanium lower links, Holmes 35T hand wound motor, Tekin FXR ESC, CC bec at 7.4V, Hitec 7954hs servo, AX10 metal gear transmission, Overdrive gears front, Underdrive gears rear. I am not competing yet but I will after I get these lights moving. I have several friends that are already competing in Sportsman and 2.2S.

Looks like the big producers of light bars have started to use XM-L as well now.

Take a look (for curiosity) at Vision-X Prime Drive Bars (just google it)

Theirs appears to have much less dissipation surface, at least this is what it looks like by eye. If so, their driver will dim the output to avoid overheating.

In the explanations they say the driver works in PWM, but it's not clear what frequency. I suppose high enough to not result in strobo-vision though.

By comparison Your bar looks better and stronger!

Also, even if I'm not happy to admit (because it's still a remarkable amount of money, LOL!), when comparing their price for the same size 6 led bar, your is cheaper

It looks like they are using MCE’s not XML’s. They are the only company that comes close to mine in output but the light is still bigger, A little bit less output, and almost twice the price.

For the Prime bar I cannot say for sure, as it use TIR lenses so the emitter isn't clearly visible, but I can stand for sure that the Optimus series, which has alu smo reflectors, use XM-L. They were for expo in a 4x4 fair show here in Italy a few days ago and I got them in my hands, also compared the light and beam with a Xin-TD C8 and they are quite similar in output, but Optimus have a bit larger hotspot, which is good as a pure thrower isn't so useful when driving.

Anyway, sorry if I'm going offtopic with this.

When will you have the first ones for sale? (I need no brackets, will make my own anyway, going to fit it over the winch tie-bars)

I am hoping to start shipping Monday once I get my light programming dialed in.

Start shipping monday?!?

Is there a preorder thread I've not seen?

Considering what people pay for Nitecore stuff, you should definitely consider higher price for this amazing (and unique) bar.

IMHO
