Mine arrived today, very happy indeed. Does anyone know of a diffuser wand type thing that fits over this big girl?
Might be finding itself into my hunting light position on my left hip. Long run times but not too big and bulky like some 2 x 18650 torches.
Any more details on the resistor mods?

Well do you need a link where to buy the resistor? I wouldn't mind a link for a simple place to order it cheap. Other than obtaining the resistor, I believe it's pretty straightforward to do it.

Aside from the different angles I don’t see a bit of difference in the light hitting the barn @ 350yds. They look identical to me.
Do any of you T08 owners also have a HD2010? I’d love to see a beam profile comparison.
I just got mine today and just shined them at 200’ and they look the same to me…
Refer to post #7. You can cleary see if you have 20/20 vision which light is the brighter light and better thrower.

I tested the T08 vs the HD2010 and the HD wins by a small margin… but the T08 is a hell of a light!!!
wins in throw? are they both about the same brightess? which one has more flood and spill
Busy busy busy ! For at least one more month = Busy ! then I can sleep in , go for lazy afternoon walks , and do more fun stuff like play with flashlights …

Is this light bulkier than the HD2010? It looks rather heavy and not egonomically acommodating. The heaviness of lights is starting to bother me.
How likely is it that I could order one for a Xmas gift for nephew, and have it in time to put under the tree?
Tough call. I'd say order from Manafont so it ships out immediately. Should just get it in time.

In my test of a new hand held spot light I purchased, I put it up against my Fandyfire HD-2010 and the Small Sun ZY-T16. I’m sure the T16 uses the exact same reflector and a similar driver as the Small Sun ZY-T08. If you want to see the beam shots, just scroll down to the photos I posted a few days ago.
I know nothing about modding but am going to try this one. Where exactly do you solder the resistor on the driver? Is it the bottom of the resistor on the left to the top of the resistor on the right or can you solder anywhere on the left resistor and anywhere on the right resistor. thanks
