SOLD - Maglite 2D 3up, with T6 leds, TIR Optic, copper heat sink and 8AA battery holder - Ship Anywhere

Assuming 100% efficiency, each LED will get 2.58 amps, but letā€™s round down to 2.5 amps because the driver probably isnā€™t 100% efficient (kind of impossible).
At 2.5 amps an XML will produce just over 800 lumens in IDEAL CONDITIONS - meaning adequate heat management. Since this is all in a maglite with what might quite possibly be one of the least surface area lights ever made we can also safely assume that this isnā€™t ideal for heat management. So letā€™s drop the lumen output by 50 lumens.

So, 750*3 = 2250 lumens.

This is just an estimation, but itā€™s safe to assume that it will output over 2100 lumens.

Also Justin, what is the ā€˜three finger figuringā€™ method you used?

Thatā€™s when you are missing fingers, LOL. Itā€™s just an expression.

Believe me OL, I was very tempted. :D

I guess Iā€™m too young to understandā€¦

Iā€™ll take it. PM to be sent shortly.

!!!!! Translates to:

Danged Okie! It is ILLEGAL to send TEXAS MODDED LIGHTS TO OKLAHOMA! Re direct that package to Amarillo immediately! This is the lumen police talkin here!!!

Oh, OKā€¦. Good luck with the lightā€¦. ā€¦ Iā€™ll be a good sport about itā€¦. >) No hard feelings hereā€¦ :Sp

Dan.

Lol

Does every one who buys from Old-Lumens feel like they just cheated someone? You can tell a lot of effort and care and parts went into this light.

Yeah, my OL lights all are amazing, it still amazes me how much I paid for my 1D.

I am glad I caught you in a lull.

The 2AA I bought off OL was $3 more than an unmodded version from a local store.
I love it and still use it everyday.

Yeah, I'm trying to limit myself to one a week. ;)

|( :zipper_mouth_face: Nope! Still not mad about missing that lightā€¦ Nope! J)

Not bothering me!

Dan

Texas, speaking from experience you'll still be bummed about missing out on it 2 weeks from now. :P

You got it!

Thank you

Wonderful deal here, hope you enjoy it!

I am pretty sure I will like it. Now that it is official that it is mine, I am in the giddy mode. I have read and re-read the the build thread and oogled over the pics there and here. A question has come to me.

What does this mean?

The only other modded light I have purchased was the ā€œE1320 5 mode UF 2100ā€. It has no blinkie modes and has memory. To over-ride the memory, you have to cycle the switch fairly quickly, helping to minimize nuisance unintentional mode changes. I like this UI and think it would be icing on the cake if this is what is coming to me.

I googled the driver used and saw that by default, it is a 5-mode scroll-through: high, medium, low, SOS, strobe; with a two second memory. This would be fine too.

Sorry, I am mostly just thinking out loud as I impatiently wait for this light.

The master driver is the driver that controls the modes, this means that the modes are: Moonlight-Low-Med-High-Turbo like your UF2100.

Swe-e-e-t!!

Does that make it any easier on you TexasLumens? 8)

I just received my modded mag here at work. I slapped some Eneloops in it and all is in good working order. The UI is as described above by scaru. The tint is nice and creamy.

Love it.

Thanks Old-Lumens

Glad you like it.
