Is the one sold at CNQG (CNqualityGoods) original Sky Ray King? I do not see a Sky Ray king logo onto the torch? Is this reliable to buy it from there? I checked with Manafont and they only have the NW, but its the original Sky Ray King.
“T6” is a brightness bin, not a tint. A NW Sky Ray King would typically have CREE “T6 3C” XM-L emitters, where “3C” is the tint bin (a designation which relates to colour temperature). When you don’t see a tint bin listed (just “T6” for example), it’s almost always some sort of cool white tint. The ones at Manafont are CW, not NW. The black SRK at CNQG uses U2 1B emitters (where U2 is the brightness bin (slightly brighter than a T6) and 1B is the tint, which is in the CW spectrum).

I’ll let someone else chime in on the quality of the Black SRK from CNQG as I don’t have one. It’s not an original, but that doesn’t necessarily equate to inferior in the budget flashlight arena. In fact sometimes it’s the opposite.

hm, i looked for the Sky Ray King and i found many light´s. I looked at manafont and saw there are 2 SKYRAY King´s. the one for 43,75$ an d one for 54,80$.
I asked at the live support and the Lady told me, that this is the same Light.
Is this true? why is the one 10$ cheaper?
Has someone in these Forum the Torch and know what is the different beetween the 2 Lights.

I have checked with Ella from Manafont. She claimed its the NW version they are selling…So, I ask her to confirm again with her dealer. She replied me and said she confirmed with her dealer and its the NW version.
I just purchased today with free shipping from Manafont for $54.80. CNqualityGoods with their shipping cost me around $61.00
Got my SRK from Manafont today. Totally worth it! :bigsmile:

I’m not defending Manafont or anything but I took the chance and bought the SRK from them. Tested it out and it is neutral white. No defects from what I can tell and I’m satisfied so far. 
That’s odd since that’s not what others got from that listing (same one as they’ve ever had).

I just bought one of these awesome torches (as we call em over here) and wondering what 18650 batteries are good for it.
Looking at the Ultrafire ones on eBay, but noticing they come in different mAh. Is it better to go the highest mAh possible (they range from 2600 mAh to 5000 mAh.)
I don’t know a great deal about batteries, but what would people recommend for this torch? The higher the mAh the better?
I order the Skyray King from Manafont…But, it seems he sends me the Mimic instead. The lanyard he provides is dark brown compared to the lighter one instead and I paid more for the original. I am pissed right now.

@Lionheart: If you buy batteries at ebay, mostly ist the Numbbers are not wright, tha´s like the lumen at torches.

Hi, Here are the pictures …They send me in a paper bag with the items wrapped in plastic cover.
As you can see, the logo is slightly smaller compared to the original Sky Ray king and the lanyard matches the mimic, which is dark brown in color. Extremely disappointing.
write them and ask them what happend. I think you paid via paypal, then call paypal and write the item was wrong, maybe you get the money back.

They probably will try to stall you, but make sure you don't exceed PP protection window no matter what. If no reasonable agreement reached by 40th - 44th day, open PP dispute. That's your only leverage.
@Wulf, thank you…I have already send a support mail to them…I will be following up with them and here as well. Kind of strange, why would they want to do that? I was wondering if they do it intentionally.
@Pulsar, Yes indeed, it does look link the mimic. The logo is visibly smaller and slightly faded compared to the original Sky ray king. I ordered the item on the 23’rd of November, received it today via hong kong post. Made payment via paypal and would be opening a dispute if they do not entertain me. I will make sure they will have their paypal account limited if I am not satisfied with the outcome.
What are the obvious signs of a mimic? I have one on it’s way from overseas and I want to make sure it’s the real deal when I get it.

My Skyray king comes in a Paper bag…I heard some received in a box. So, this could be one of the sign of a mimic. Also, apart from the lanyard if you notice the logo of the mimic carefully,
1) The ray or the beam in the logo touches the k. It should stop at Y. Refer to the original Sky Ray logo below.
2) The ray going downwards is shorter compared to the original Sky ray logo. I hope i make sense.
Anyone has a better pic of the logo. My SRK from Tmart logo printed is Sky Ray 3XT6 and a pic of a partial moon and a star burst. Just noticed your pic shows Sky Ray King.
Plurkstar the light could be real, maybe a new design update, Rick sells the black one and that looks like the one you received.
