TN31 + T10 for $139.00

yea its a good deal but it seems like a slap to the face for the others who paid full price that now they decide to give this deal because the k40, id say just buy the k40 and support sbflashlights

same here
Thanks Dimlux for the info about this deal, and pretzy for the feedback.
I was just about to order from HKE, but this is a far better deal. I had a chatt with online customer support before ordering, and all orders ship with DHL now since a few days to improve shipping. Hopefully the customs dont get too curious. I have been lucky so far with my orders via registered airmail.

Which one to order? The TN31 oder the K40?

And how does the TN31 compare to the Crelant 7G5?

If size makes a difference, the K40 is more compact.

Size does not matter  Which one will impress me more?

the k40 and tn31 both blow away the 7g5

Toppel, check out selfbuilt's revised lux numbers (here). He has the Crelant 7G5 also.

Also did you watch TurboBB's vid review of the K40 (here)? He talks about the T31.

man I wish I didnā€™t have to buy a video game cus I would jump at thisā€¦oh well the k40 will be there when the funds are availableā€¦

THANKS!!! I just snagged one!!! Weā€™ll see if they are any good!!

Waitingā€¦ā€¦.Nope, Still not here! Waitingā€¦ā€¦ā€¦ā€¦

Thanks again! Dan.

It should smoke it since itā€™s putting out over 30,000 more lux.

+1

I know my K40 will smoke my Crelant 7G5 in throw and in brightness.

I wonder why the price is set to that low of an amount J)

FYI: My lux meter
7G5CS: 64k lux
K40: 87k lux
7G5CS w/ Collimater head: 105k lux

Healthy competition is good for us consumers, finally some flashlights get to a much more logical price. Maybe K40 can strike back by lowering its price... They'll get a lower margin of profit, but surely they'll sell more units... imagine for example this Thrunite offer against an $80 K40... I am curious, who wouldn't buy a K40 for $80?

I donā€™t wanna piss off any faithful early adopters who purchased my K40. Also if I do have dealers in the future, in America we have moral obligations to ā€œtake care of our dealersā€.

And I am happy with the price I paid for my k40 I feel I got my moneys worth thank you

It has extra throw at max, but at over 400 meters you can barely see anything (like a human being). I do like the better runtime of 5 hours at 620 lumens, which is the sweet spot, vs the crelants 1:30 at a similar lumens range with 1 18650 cell. It has better components, safety features and more modes which is extremely nice, but itā€™s a little too thick for my tastes.

My 2 cents

Its a serious point. Thrunite have a network of dealers, yet in the past few months have been effectively cutting them oou of the loop by selling directl with pretty big discounts on their popular lights. OK, Illumination Supply seem to be doing the fulfillment for the recent US ā€œbuddleā€ deals, and should make money on the activities, but other dealers are being left with stock that they cannot hope to shift if the manufacturer is cutting 50% off the price by selling directly.

In the short term itā€™s good for the consumer, but what happens when the dealers simply drop the brand? And who would blame them? Maybe Iā€™m too pessimistic, as itā€™s a big market out there, but the K40 emergence has certainly put the wind up Thrunite (who I suspect we wouldnā€™t miss).

I agree 100 percent there are many dealers carrying the thrunite models are they going to be stuck with all the lights? if Thrunite is going to offer these deals then they need to be their sole dealer as well
