For you infiinitely variable lovers.... from 80 to 29.99... wtf?

i wanna buy one, but im broke :-(

You know there's a variable drop in at DX for like... $12?

but this is a whole very nice flashlight that makes that drop in look substandard

The Skyline I throws like crazy. Mine can put a useful spot of light on something over a block away. Amazing considering its size and price.

I swear; the way I carry on about Solarforce - I really am just a happy customer. It's incredible to me they can deliver that kind of quality for the prices they charge, maybe just slightly lower occasionally than more expensive brands but still superb fit and finish nearly all the time. Makes me wonder about the working conditions in their factories.

Still, desperately needs more raw output. My is still waiting for a modding strategy (maybe after I retire? )

The only thing that hold me back was its requirement of 2x CR123's to work in full power. I could buy it easier if it were $90. But sub $30, it sounds cheap :)

If it uses the same tailcap pcb as the skyline II, then the PWM is extremely noticable at the low end. Still very handy to have though. As far as more output, just swap the driver out for this 1.4a single mode unit. With a few minor thermal upgrades, not only will you get more output, but the torch won't be stuck running CR123's for full output.

Nice looking light with a nice interface. I wish I liked 18650 lights. :)
