So iv finally ordered the new black king…… its one of the new batch just available.
Its my first multi emitter light so dont really know what to expect…. never seen 2000+ lumens in the flesh!!
So what tollerance should i be looking at with the cells? iv just ordered another two xtar 2600mah cellls so ill be running it on 4 of these. will these work fine with the light
when i dmm the cells should they be within .1v of eachother to be safe…. iv always done this every time iv put two cells in my m3x and am very safety conscious when it comes to putting more than one cell in a light as i dont want any accidents.
Closer is better but in reality it doesn't matter... As long as they go in at similar voltages then you should be fine. It still would be a good idea to use matched cells though.
well they will all be the same brand and 2600mah… i do try get them exactly the same voltage everytime.
I can say one thing for sure…. i simply can’t wait to get my hands on this light!!!
I remember a while back HKJ wired 2 cells in parallel when they were at different SOCs (state of charge) and it dumped 10+ amps for a couple seconds but quickly went down to a reasonable safe amount of current.
