Kramer, do what Iāve done. I am guessing you have a bunch of the flat-topped Panasonics Rev. Jim sold a while back like I do. I use then in my King by adding a quick and simple button to them. Get these magnets from BIC for $1.79 . They are only 1mm high but 3mm wide so there is no chance they will reach the outer ring and short anything out. I put one on the center of the positive end then to secure it, then I use a superglue in gel form (only $1 for two tubes at my local Dollar Tree store) to apply a bead around the base of the magnet. This keeps it from ever dislocating if the flashlight is dropped. If you ever need to remove it you can chip/scrape off the bead of glue or use solvent then pop off the magnet.
For both TF batteries from Manafont, I find the 2400mAh version to be superior. My TF3000 only do 2500mAh or so, only 100+ more than the sibling, but the voltage sag is significant in it after a few months (no heavy use). TF2400 is more solid performer.
Thanks for all of your replies guys really appreciate it!
Damn flashlights is driving me crazy lol hardly sleeping. Keep on reading reviews and tips here at BLF and still canāt pull the trigger on my first 18650 setup lol
Don't feel left out in the cold, fellers, I'm sure you have plenty of lights the rest of us don't have. JohnnyMac, I can tell you the ZY-T08 is pretty much the equal of the HD2010. Mine are about the same brightness, but the ZY's hotspot is about 15% smaller and more defined - I'm guessing due to the deeper reflector. I'm also expecting much improved run time with 2 x 3400mAh cells in it. But not really a light I needed: It doesn't blow the HD away and it's too large for cycling, so while it's a neat light, probably one I could do without.
"You mean the size is more cumbersome than the HD2010?"
Yes, I would agree with that. It's slightly longer and heavier. The shape of the tube is ok in the hand, but the HD2010 just fits like butta in your hand. The HD2010 is one sweet light on many levels. As far as overall ergonomics, I would give it the nod.
I agree with this whole heartedly, I just donāt like the p60 concept at all, be better if c8ās were standardized so you could just swap pills and reflectors to suit, their not though so poop on that.
I rather like the P60 format for "general use". More compact, more pocket friendly, and better looking (at least to me). I haven't touched my C8's since about April.
Now to get back on topic: this ZY-T08 is one freaking awesome light! Was playing around with it again tonight and just blown away by its throw! I must have found "Turbo" because it was like blasting daylight. I lit up the backside of a house about 600 feet away and could see every detail of everything there. I then pulled out my Jacob A60 and had a showdown between the two and the ZY-T08 smoked it easily.
I did notice a little trouble with mine not coming on until I gave it a little shake, but after shaking it stays on.
If you haven't ordered one of these yet YOU NEED TO!!!
I think you like this light about as much as I do. I got 2 now. And my 2nd one is Iām guessing 5000 lux brighter than my first. Itās a winner. Just a little under my Catapult V3 in throw I would say.
Well heck let me take some 100yd photos if my neighbors vehicles ināt in my way of the trees.
