Every month their shipping is more and more slowly

I ordered 5 each of the plastic protective cases and other than them taking forever to get here (48 days) my protected trustfire 18650's and 16340's fit just fine.

I also ordered 5 of these but they were not part of this shipment. So that's 48 days and counting for these waterproof cases. Frown

Great minds think alike and their orders ends up on the exact same slow ass boat.

I wondered about that also with those little plastic darts but until something actually happens--I'll leave it alone. If something does happen the I'll cut them out with an exacto knife or melt them down.

I have an UltraFire WF-139 and it works great but my protected 18650's are a little bit too tight for comfort so I use my Pila IBC most of the time. One thing I've learned about Li-ion batteries and charging is that no matter how good the charger is--you never leave them alone at home while they are still charging. Better safe than sorry.

If you are needing to charge 4 at a time your only real options are either a hobby charger or a pair of two-cell chargers. Or the XTAR WP6 but it isn't exactly a budget device last time I looked. The two-cell (Or 6-cell) chargers are a lot less flexible but much more convenient.

You can get 18650 holders from Virtual Village but they are too long and need one or two 2mm magnets even with my longest protected cells. I've no idea what sort of cells they were originally designed to hold

But I don't see them on the .com site.

What kind of charger do you have?

BTW, I got those waterproof battery cases from DX earlier today and they are very nice. I only had to wait 49 days.

Dang fishinfool - they must like you better. My order took 50 days. LOL

LOL

I've purchased from DX multiple times and have had to rma an ultrafire 502b, trustfire tr1200,and an mte sf-15. the return process have always been long and communication can be difficult. otherwise they have great prices and a big selection of products.

Another DX package arrived today. I order the good flame 18650, some cheap holsters and 3 butan lighter. Chinapost needs 22 days. This is ok.

After opening I was a little bit confused - six red bubble foil [ I don't know the correct english word for it] packages. In the past the batteries were never packed in foil. Everything is in perfect conditions

"bubble wrap"

:)

Thank you.

Apparently DX is starting to ship enough fast, sadly for my case through CP which reach my country in many more days than HKP...a week ago I made four orders around three item each, two from DX and two from KD ...

I have four RA code registered packets which 'left' and 'outward' yesterday, lets see who win this race...

Also both postal services seem very efficient as all is sent...or they lie?

Received my lux meter and some RCR2 cells from DX today, 17 days after ordering. The meter comes packaged in a plastic box with a snap closure. The meter rests in the cutouts of the foam lined plastic box. Cells were in the usual taped bubble wrap. DX seems to be on a roll.

I also think DX has been on a roll lately. My favorite vendor is still manafont but the orders I have been getting from DX have been between 7 and 11 days from order. I think that’s pretty impressive.
I also think they have the best website. It’s easy to find what you want and checkout is painless. They have never sent me anything broken or wrong either. I might be setting myself up here but I hope they keep up this new standard.

I ordered some pretty high-volume stuff (5 HDMI cables) 3 weeks ago. No sign of shipment yet. I'm not that bothered - one identical cable here would buy 37 from DX. And they aren't for me and I've ben paid for them already.

But it would be nice if they got around to shipping them faster.

The shipping times are just so wonderously random, It seems to be down to them not haveing most of the items in stock and instead have them supplied on demand.

Occasionally I've ordered things they must have had sitting there waiting to be sent out as they were amazingly fast.

It's all part of the DX experience.. :P

I ordered this Nite Ize Backbone case from DX : http://www.dealextreme.com/p/nite-ize-protective-waterproof-cloth-digital-camera-bag-with-belt-clip-camouflage-size-s-70237 .

Firstly, received it must faster than previous orders.

I tried to open/close the zip a few times ( never seen a zip like it before ) - one of the the zipper snaps broke off.

Requested a replacment from DX ( attached a photo ), DX agreed the next day !

Dear customer

Sorry for the inconvenience. We’ll arrange a replacement for you. Do you wanna pay $2 for a tracking number? Pls advise

Regards

Sent a copy to Nite Ize. They haven't even bothered to reply.

So DX > Nite Ize.

They pack emitters mounted on stars in only bubble wrap package inside the envelope. From the damage to the emitters' domes it looks like they were lying in a pile and not protected from scratches, prior to shipment.

Happened twice with XP-G on 16mm base (the second was sent as a replacement to the first due to these defects, received with much minor defects but of the same kind - deep scratches in the dome).

Hey it's Peter the Spam guy again...

Curious about J888 as well. Location looks like HK (?), why bother ordering through DX? Ah nevermind, he is in the UK...

I have never had an issue with damaged products from DX. Lately their shipping has been really quick again like the DX I became enamored with years ago. I just need to learn to never order from December through March.
