I just compared they reflector size and damn the T08 reflector is huge compared ot the F10!

Rikr may i ask what battaries you run in your T08? I am asking coz am not sure if my Keeppower 18650 3400’s will work purchased from Bob

I have HI-Max 18650’s in there and also have had no problems with TrustFire 3000, Xtar 3100

Very informative! I had no idea this pretty affordable look-alike had this MASSIVE heat sinking!!! :o It really needs just a bit more current. What other lights there are in this price range, that have good, threaded pill AND threaded reflector made out of aluminum?? I just regretted my ZY-T08 purchase, I think this would have been even better option for the same price 8)

Damn that was close call for me lol! Was sooooooooo damn near buying a ZY-T08 but now Johnny made me think twice! Which one would you choose Johnny if you dont mind me asking? I cannot give an honest answer to that question since I don’t own a T08 yet. Ironically, DX is sending me a T08 for review and it supposedly shipped out already. Since I didn’t order it I have no tracking information but as soon as it arrives it will get the same tear down treatment as the UF-F10.

Rikr does have both lights and one thing he said that I can guarantee is the T08 will out throw the UF-F10. The F10 is not designed to be a dedicated thrower like the T08 is. It’s more of an all purpose light that happens to have a wonderfully focused beam. It depends on what your end goal is for the light. From what I’ve read I can pretty much bet that the UF-F10 has a much higher build quality than the T08.

I agree that the beam on the UF-F10 is a all around more user friendly light, since the T08 is geared for throw.

If budget remains the same and you can sacrifice the parallel 18650 format, I would suggest ZY-T13 for better overall quality than ZY-T08.
Yet again, T13 also need more power by soldered resistor… But I´m pretty sure it is capable of similar throw as T08 when both driven at same current.

I like my T13 better than the T08, and they are really close in throw to each other.

I like my T13 better than the T08, and they are really close in throw to each other.

The form of T08 is nice, I can´t argue with that.
T13 just has so good UI. Instant HIGH always on tailcap and easy step-down with Side-Clicky and you don´t need to cycle through nasty disco-modes 8)
No loose driver PCB´s, no issues whatsoever.
I just wish I would soon get those resistors…

Given that most of the t-08’s are coming in driven at about 2a, if you want to make the most of it, your still either going to have to fit a .22ohm resistor or a pot. I’m waiting to see what the pot johnny’s ordered reads as mine is to high.

Another thing to note, I found my crap ultrafire cells gave 3a where other better cells only gave 2.34a. Viffer noted that the driver is odd in that its very responsive to resistance in circuit, unfortunately, I’ve not found any mods to the host that raised drive current.

Looking at this, I wish I’d sprung the extra few cents for the tk-35 clone.

Johnny, how were the tail cap screws? This is a real bug bear of mine with my zy-t08, their just crap quality. Great review, thanks for sharing.

Gords, the tail piece screws in mine were fine. None were stripped and are of decent quality.

As for the pots I ordered, I got the ones Viffer recommended from ebay. Dirt cheap, too!

Good review Johnnymac,seems like Tmart has the best price for the TK35 clone.

They are all the same you can only go on price and overall quality when deciding whom to buy it from.
