DX question

So here is the deal, I was trying to figure out how to track an order and I accidently hit the “Confirm Receipt” button under the “available actions” bar. I did not, in fact, receive my shipment. Do any of y’all know how I correct this and get order status changed back to “full shipment”? This was my first order from DX and I’m obviously not familiar with how that current order page works.

Also, how, exactly do I track the shipment? It was over $15, so there should be shipping right?

Thanks for any help. Oh, ya, I sent a PM to the DX Official here, not sure if that was the way to go or even if it will work.

I think better way is contact DX via live chat. they have live chat service.

Yeah, try to contact CS, they probably could help you out. Anyway, that "Confirm Receipt" button probably didn't mean anything much, too easy to click anyway.

To check tracking, click on Order Details, then Shippings tab. You should see the tracking# there.

Thanks, guys. I finally found the tracking number following Pulsar’s advice. I realize that if the box is on its way then its on its way and should get here. My only concern is that if it doesn’t eventually show that my hitting the “Ya, I got it button” might not be so helpful in a PP dispute. Let’s hope I don’t have to be hassled with that.

With tracked shipment, I think it's no issue as the tracking# takes precedence. PP won't easily believe that the item is shipped just because DX's system says so, they'll just go with the post tracking.

But the downside of tracked shipment, that if the item is lost, you have no idea who's going to take the blame. DX has proof they shipped, you have proof that you didn't receive, it's the postal chain that's at fault but who's going to claim from post service?

No No. PayPal dispute (within 45 days!) and eventually a claim is the only way it will work with HK vendors.

I never had a big trouble with them. Just some DOA and missing shipments. Never used a PP dispute so far. Their CS is slow, but workes always fine for me. I have never lost a single cent with DX.

I have never lost a cent to any HK vendor. With any sign of problems I make a PP dispute.
This gives me the sellers attention and I either get a refund, another item or any other
compensation. And why not? I sent him my money!

Never heard of any who have lost with a dispute. Heard of many who have lost by trying
to work it out alone with the seller. Read the thread about Manafont and their lousy RMA!

Nautic, if you read the OP properly you'll see there's no reason for dispute. Cone is only trying to find out how to see the tracking number in the DX system. And as he mentioned in the consecutive reply, he found the tracking number, it is working, and the package is on its way to him.

I was talking of the general ways to deal with problems with HK dealers.

Just to be more clear than I was in the OP, in late October I purchased five lights/hosts from DX in two shipments as I thought separating them into two orders would at least stop all of them from not making it here. Overly cautious on my part, but since I’ve never dealt with them and horror stories abound, I figured better safe than sorry. Oddly enough, one of the two packages arrived today and I found it on the dining room table at my spot.

That puts delivery time right at three weeks give or take. Not too bad, I suppose. What was ordered was in the bag, I’ll see if they work later.

My only issue was that I pressed the wrong button in a ham fisted attempt to find the tracking number. You folks have know me long enough now to realize I’m not the brightest flashlight in the drawer, but I did find it with help. If it was any closer, it would have bitten me.

As an aside and in the spirit of our Thanksgiving Holiday, I’d like to take a moment and thank you guys and this community as a whole for helping me out with this and for all the entertainment and knowledge that is always so generously shared. I truly appreciate it.

 I like that!

What, the saying, or the fact I can admit I’m a bit of a tart? :stuck_out_tongue:

I had a shipment last spring that was sent in 2 packages. One, the postman marked “received damaged” and was delivered empty and shredded. The other, after 3 weeks of emails was found still sitting at the local post office. Once that was sorted out, DX reshipped the parts that had been in the shredded package. All done through DX customer service. Slow, but accurate and polite.
